| Unusual knot on hindquater Hi all, My husband and I noticed a knot on Maybelline's right hindquater. It feels like the muscle knotted up in comparison to the other leg. She is not in pain and even when we touch or rub it she does not show any pain. Has anyone had this with their pup? We are going to the Vet but can not get in till tomorrow. Thanks.

| Has she had a shot recently?? Sometimes when they get shots they will get a knot that can last for months and months.. I have felt them on Babybear and even on my bigger furkids..As a matter of fact on my Olde English Bull Dogge when he gets a shot he gets a welt the size of a golf ball.. I just rub it to get the medicine to move and it takes about a week and it goes away slowly.. If you are really concerned I would take her to the vet.. I hope that it is just a recent shot that has given her the lump and nothing more. Good luck

| Hopefully it is just a lump from a recent vaccination. I usually go into a panic mode until I realize what the cause it. Sometimes it doesn't show up for a couple of days and by then you have forgotten about the shot. Scares the bee-gee-bees out of me.

| Thanks for the info everyone. She did get her rabies shot two weeks ago and I did not go with her; my husband took her. I asked him where they gave the shot and he said he could not look because he can't stand the site of needles even on puppies. So it could very well be the injection site; we will see today.

| Did you ever find out what the lump was? Carson has a knot on one of his front legs near the joint.

| Yes, it was her rabies and the knot has gone back down. Thanks for asking; but it does not sound like Carson would have had a shot in that area. I hope all is fine.
