| Diarrhea, any suggestions??? Ok, I cooked brownies and crumbs dropped on the floor. Harlem ate a very small crumb. It's been 4 days and he has runny stools and goes about 6 times a day. I feel sorry for him and was will never give him anything chocolate again ever. Any suggestions on how to calm his diarrhea or do you think it will pass? i thought by now, it would just pass from his system but it's just about 2:30pm today and he has pooped about 4 times since 9am.

| I would call the vet or take him in. 4 days sounds like a bigger problem than a few crumbs of chocolate. The vet may just advise you how to hometreat for a day or so. (pepto bismo? I am not sure of dose) Don't let him get dehydrated. Make sure he drinks water or get him to lick an ice cube. maybe just rice or babies rice cereal mixed with warm water instead of his regular food. It seems like 4 days is too long to let this work out on it's own |

| I am broke. The vet will want money and I don't have extra today. However, he did get neutered last Friday and he goes back to the vet on Wed. to have the stitches taken out so I will ask him then. I hope that works. Honestly, I love my baby so if he looks like he is getting worse I will take him. However, it hasn't stopped his appetite, he is still eating and drinking and playing and running. Other than the runny poo- he seems fine.

| It's a natural way to straighten out his stomach and firm up his stools.

| The canned pumpkin is a good idea. You also need to make sure he is staying hydrated, you can give him some pedialyte if you have any. When they have constant diarhea they lose alot of liquids so keeping them hydrated is very important. You may also want to try a more bland diet for him. Boneless, skinless chicken breast and white rice mixed in with his food will help his stool to harden as well. You can also give him a little bit of pepto bismol to help as well. My vet recommends 1 cc per 5pounds. Keep a close eye on him and try to get him to the vet as soon as you can.

| No pain meds. I think I'm going to try and give me some Pepto Bismol.

| Thanks everyone. I gave Harlem pepto -bismol and I took him to the vet and they said it was normal. So he got over it and now he's fine. Thanks for the prayers!
