| vomiting and diarreha My dog Dakota has been vomiting for the last 3 hours. She now has diarreha. Did she eat anything that she shouldn't have? How can I help her. Unfortunately there is not a vet on call where I live. What can I give her to make sure she is ok throughout the night until I can get her to the vet in the morning? |

| Check her gums make sure they are pink. You dont want her to get dehydrated. Cosmo has been vomiting too and I gave him 1/4 teaspoon of pepto bismol.

| Make sure she is hydrated. Give her water with a syringe. How old is she?

| I would definately say that if you can get to a store, to get some Pedialyte or Pepto Bismol. Just absolutely make sure that she is staying hydrated and her blood sugar stays up. You can also try boiled chicken and rice. That sometimes helps. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I hope she feels better soon. Keep us updated!

| I have just given her some water it looks as if her gums are pink. I'm afraid that she might have eaten something poisonous. |

| Usually if you call some of the vets in your area there is a number on the recorder that you can call in case of an emergency. It's better to be safe than sorry.

| YOu better take her to the vet it could be a parasite or something. Bloddy stools is a red flag. Cosmo did the same thing and had two types of parasties and got dehydrated very fast.
