| Bambi is only 8 mths but so far she's right on course. At 13 weeks she was 2.05 and she's 4.10 right now. Bijou however hit a huge growth spurt at exactly 8 mths and gained another 3 pounds by the time she was 1 & 1/2 years old. She was 3.2 lbs at 13 weeks and projected to be 6.5 lbs. She's 10.6 right now at 2 1/2 yrs old. It's weird how off the charts are with some and right on with others

| I could never use any charts I found. He always weighed too much, LOL. But he always pretty much followed a few of the rules I read about. Like doubling the 12 week weight. He was 6lbs at 12 weeks and went to about 12lbs by one year. He's now right between 15-16lbs. So yeah I guess it was pretty accurate.

| Nope...all three of mine grew at different rates and didn't really end up following the charts at all. I don't put much trust in the charts. A vet told me to triple the 12 week weight. I think that is more accurate.

| Both of my boys grew to be almost 2 pounds larger than they were charting to be. I think they would have stayed smaller had they not been neutered.

| What a smart bet. It's pretty close to Bijou's weight if I triple it. Very cool to know another way to try to figure it out

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | According to every chart and our vet, we were going to be lucky if Scarlett hit 5 pounds. Obviously, she likes her mama's cooking because she's now nearly 14 pounds!

| Brooke Lynn was 2# even (32 oz) when I got her at 8 weeks. Per charts, she should be 6#. Per my groomer, she thought Brooke would be about the same size as her Button - 8#, give or take. Tripling the 12 week on the chart is more accurate. She's about 8-1/2 pounds. And, of course, perfect!!

| Aw, thanks! I think so, but admit some bias. ;o) She was a rescue, but I was never clear on who rescued who.

| My Hobbes started out small like my other 3 but he is now my Big Hunk of LOVE at 15 lbs. My other 3 weigh 6lbs, 9lbs, and 11 lbs.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Doubling the 12 week weight is more accurate then any charts on line and sometimes even doubling doesn't work. I've had several pups who never gained to the size I "guessed"

| I voted for Sadie. She's pretty much exactly where she charted. Beemer never quite made his four pounds and is stuck at just over 3 1/2.

My furkids Donating Member | rule of thumb...triple the 8 week weight..double the 12 weeks weight...this held true to both my girls....except when I had them spayed...they both gained around a pound each.
