| ![]() About 2 months ago our Boxer passed away we all loved him dearly but he was my husband’s dog and had a tighter bond with him than anyone else. My husband was devastated when Tanner passed and the last thing on his mind was getting another dog. Well fast forward to today, we had seen an add on Craigslist for a free 3 legged dog something about this dog touched us both. So we went over to see the dog , he is a boxer mix pup about 7 months old. My husband said that he is a really nice dog but very rough in his playing. The people told us the dogs back story they said that he had been hit by a car and the original owners had put him out with the trash and called the pound to pick him up. The pound came and got him and paid $1000 to have his leg amputated. He was at the pound for 3 months and on his last day before being put down this lady’s boyfriend happed to go to the pound with one of his friends. They cannot have another dog but he did not want to see it get put down, so he adopted him with the goal of finding him a new home. This is where we come in, we fell in love with him from the moment we saw him. We are worried that he might be too rough with our Yorkie though. The dog is very nice but has no manners my husband thinks that it might have fleas also. Well we decided to bring him home. He will need some training and a good bath, but he does not show any aggressive behavior to our other animals. So sorry if I am rambling I am in class right now. I should be taking notes. ![]() |

| ![]() Funny - I'm in class too. Should also be taking notes ![]() Anyways, back to the important topic - that poor baby! He sounds like he's been through A LOT! I'm sure with a little TLC and some training, he'll be a great dog. Post pictures!!!

| ![]() Sorry for your loss... What a sweet story... and a lucky dog at that. Yea, I would proceed with caution when mixing the two... until the boxer learns some manners....
