| Anyone Have Earplugs??!!! My boyfriend (god love him) has been playing his electric guitar plugged into his amp full blast and singing at the top of his lungs for the last 2.5 hours. I don't think I can take much more of this!!! I keep trying to distract him, too. I made canolis, I ordered dinner, I even put on a cute outfit and tried to get him to go out. I swear he hasn't even skipped a cord or a word - he won't look at me or listen to me. LOL! what man passes up food!!??

| Just as I got done posting that, he stopped!! He came into the kitchen. I thought I was home free... then he went downstairs and got his OTHER guitar and is back at it.

| My 20 year old son (who LOVES his guitar) says to flip the circuit breaker for that room. Then, go in and ask him politely to please beg, borrow or buy earphones that plug into his amp. Set some ground rules right now. If the volume is high enough, it can cause ear damage for him AND for you. Just our opinion. Good luck.

Your son sounds too cute! LOL. I love the circuit breaker idea. I should flip it and pretend like I didn't do it, and sit in the bedroom with a magazine looking very innocent and unsuspecting. I just moved in with him, so I am playing 'good girlfriend' and don't want to step on any toes by setting rules just yet . He does have earphones that plug in, but I've only seen him use them once.

| Record his playing and singing and when he's trying to sleep late on a Saturday or Sunday morning, play it full throttle. Maybe after he hears what he really sounds like he wont do it again. |

that's a good idea, too. I can see it now he'd probably think it was funny. he's not a bad singer, and he's a great guitar player, but there's just a point where it has to stop, ya know?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My husband plays electric and acoustic but most of the time when he is using the amp he plugs headphones in for him so we don't hear it. WHen he doesn't I want to jump out of my skin.
