| What kind of dog is this? My nephew sent this picture of a dog that someone found and gave to him. He's been trying to find the owners, with no luck, and hoping that he doesn't find owners because he wants to keep him. What do you think this dog is...I'm thinking a beagle mix, but would love to hear your ideas! He's not a large dog...not sure what he weighs yet. They're taking him to a vet on Saturday.-

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Hey Connie What a cutie that little sweetheart is! I have a Mini Dachshund, and that baby in the picture you posted DEFINITELY has some Dachshund in it - and I would bet probably some Beagle too. But Dachshund FOR SURE - no doubt about it

| My first reaction when I saw his picture was definitely Dachshund. I then showed the picture to my husband because he used to own a Dachshund/Bassett mix and he really thinks that he looks like a Beagle mix. He looks like a Beagle/Dachshund mix and also looks sooooooooooo sweet and very adorable!! Tammy |

| Thanks everyone! I think you are all pretty close on your guesses. I hadn't even thought of dachshund and I just bet he's a Dachshund/Beagle mix. I gave my nephew this link so he can keep up on what everyone says! Hi Jason! Jason and his wife are so excited about this puppy and he's such a sweetheart! They're in Florida, so it's not likely I'll get to see him any time soon. They named him Archie. Isn't that cute?

| I think he looks like a Beagle/Dachshund mix. He is adorable, he has such soulful eyes!! I can see why your brother wants to keep him. And I think Archie is a great name for him!!

| He looks like a dog who has finally found "home". I agree with the others who have said Dachshund-Beagle mix. |

| Hi Jason, looks like a happy pup and also a lucky one. As far as the breed, it's one of the above

YT 500 Club Member | He looks as though he has some weiner dog in him. The face looks like a weiner dog. (I love calling them that!) We had one when I was growing up, and he had the same face.
