| Work from home income? Does anyone here participate in a work-from-home business? You know... the kind you see advertised in the paper all the time? I know that 90% of them are scams so I'm interested to see if anyone knows of a legitimate one. I work from home during the day for my company and freelance in the evenings, but sometimes I just want some "mindless" work that can bring in some additional income. Thanks! |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Thanks!! It's amazing how many ads there are for work at home..most are scams. They get people to pay to get the information and nothing really ever pans out of them.

My furkids Donating Member | I was thinking about doing this when I was out of work. I did "apply" to a couple of ads. YOU have to send them money and they send you a list of companys that are looking for home workers. I would be careful. Like one poster said...this could be a scam and, after watching the news for the past couple of nights, there seems to be alot of scamming going on....

| I just applied at "West". Everything was quite easy and smooth, but I must tell everyone reading this post that after completion of everything, there is a small link to a survey that they'd like you to fill out (certainly not required) but this whole "survey" takes you to a completely new pop-up window that requests information for tax purposes. Naturally it asks for your social security number and some other details NOT asked on your application. Point is, I didn't fill that part out. I just closed the pop up attached to West's final paper. If they want that info. from me, they can fax or send me an official document in the mail that I can keep a copy of for my own records of submission to West. (I didn't feel comfortable w/ it because it wasn't a secure page, if for no other reason.) THANKS for the recommendation! |
