Apartment scammers???????

As some of you might know, I've been searching for an apartment...well, I've been talking to "Mr. Fotan Shola" and his "wife" "Mrs. Anita Fotan" (apparently she took his first name ) for some time now.

He's on a missionary in trip in West Africa & just wants someone to get his lovely home clean, blah blah blah. His wife is in the US & he needs cash, yada yada yada.

Anyway...thought I'd share the e-mails

No, I am not okay with the price of $700 with utilities. Your husband told me that it was going to be $450, then he raised it to $600 and when I asked him why, he never responded.

I will pay $450, not higher.

Also, how will I pay my rent if you're all the way in Miami and your husband is in West Africa?

I know where my nearest Western Union is & I have completed them form, it just needs to be signed and taken back to the office.

I understand that you said you were in West Africa, but you never mentioned anything about not having a Nigerian passport/drivers license. I assume you have an American passport since you're in Nigeria because you obviously would have needed to travel there. An American passport will allow you to pick up the Western Union payment in Nigeria. You do not need Nigerian documents.

Why can't I send the money to your wife in the States?

Your wife told me that the money wasn't important, so I said why can't I get it for free if the money is not important to you.

Do you honestly think that I am stupid enough to fall into this scam? I work too hard to waste my money on a scam.

Why do you do this to innocent people? I sincerely hope that you will be punished for this in the future. I have passed all of your e-mails on to the police & they have traced your IP address & they know exactly where you are located. Watch out for your local police, they're coming for you. They are going to alert me when you have been caught. They told me that you could go to jail for a very long time.

As for me, I don't even live near Nova Scotia, so you should probably work harder on making your stories accurate when trying to scam people. You also said you are in West Afri
