| I finally joined a gym!! I'm so proud of myself!!! Its about time!!! My neighbor talked me into joining her gym and I have started going to classes with her. So far I've dusted off my Shimano (sp?) biking shoes and taken two one hour spin classes and its a spin class and a pilates (sp?) class tomorrow. This chick is Crazy! She takes two sometimes three classes a day, always a cardio and a sculpting and or a resistance class... I love it! its exactly what I need! I'll be right where I want to be in no time! Anyone else a big gym goer?? Any body have a favorite class that they get the best results from in either building lean muscle or fat burning?? I'd love recommendations.. I'm going to Gold's Gym.

| I joined a gym last year in Janurary and I lost some weight and lots of inches. I did the treadmill and eliptical almost everyday and then I did the weight circut every other day and aerobics about 2-3 days a week. Of course when summer came I quit going because I was so busy with summertime stuff and I gained alot of the weight back. I renewed my membership a couple weeks ago and I have been working out at least everyday and most of the time twice a day. I have lost about 5 pounds so far. I have also been dieting. I will post some before and after pics from last year. This was only 2 months of working out and weight watchers. I can not believe I quit, I can only imagine how I would have looked and felt if I had kept it up. But I will get there..... The name of my gym is called SO POSH....LOL |

| I got the best results from the eliptical and step cardio, anything that kept my heart rate up and it had to make me sweat (alot!!!). Also the weights helped alot in toning. |

| I was a member of a gym for quite some time and one of my favorite classes was one that combined weights with cardi. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the class, but I bet your gym has a class similar to this. |

| There is a class called Cardio Pump, lots oof Cardio, and lots of Weights... its and Hour long, and the teacher is SO HARD CORE! She also teaches the Spin class I took this morning... She almost killed me! I was pretty impressed to find that I'm not nearly as out of shape as I thought I was! lol After the first class I wasn't paying for it the next day like I really should have been... and I really pushed myself big time too! I guess the body remembers! Now if it can just remember how tone it used to be and find its way back there!

| OMG those pics are amazing. Weight Watchers is a great program. I have just recently started walking 3 miles a day. My problem area is my thighs and butt. My daughter is taking spin classes but she hasn't seen any results yet. I really never had to worry too much until I turned 40. Now it's like my metabalism has just stopped. Keep up the good work girl.....you've done great.

| Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's riding the stationary bike. My oldest daughter is 27 and said it's a really good workout. But it's a class with an instructor so maybe there's more to it.

| I've never been to Gold's Gym.. I used to go to Healthwork's in Boston and they had this awesome URBAN REBOUNDING class. If your gym has it, I highly reccommend it. You do aerobics on a mini trampoline and boy is it a workout, but it's so fun the time totally goes by so quickly |

| Spin class rocks! Its a room full of stationary bikes that are modified, your actually spinning a weight, if I rember correctly its a 45lb weight. Once you get it going, its not easy to stop! Anyway, its lead by an instructor who takes you on a serious one hour ride, up hils down hils, on sprints, around tingt turns over rocks and through mud... all kinds of crazy stuff. Its torture on your body! And a serious workout! Its all done through the tension you put on the weight. and if your slacking the instructor will come around and crank up your restance for you! its hard core! Like boot camp! Your upper body even gets worked when your ducking the branches overhead... lol You need a good imagination! lol And you spend alot of time riding while your but is not touching the seat! Talkabout working those quads! ugh! Thats spin! Its hell! And its $3.00 per class on top of my membership! But its a burn of 600 to 1000 calories depending on how hard you work!

| LOL. I've been taking ballet for years so that's how I keep my body lean and sculpted, but I LOVE pilates classes. I take pilates classes when I feel out of shape. I used to be part of the gym but I cancelled my membership when I started feeling like the only reason the men are there is to oggle and stare at the women while drooling. So I bought a bunch of stuff and work out at home
