| Need Help With A Side Dish, PwEaSe ok I am trying to help my mom plan my Baby shower..... We have almost everything set but the food... I was going to have my Fav. Mexican rest. cater, but it cost WAY to much. I invite like 75 people... so I need some suggestion on one of the side dish.. We where thinking fried chicken, my moms crackpot twice bake potato , a salad....along with the cake.... but I need a nother side dish.. Something that we dont have to really worry about heating up.... (or do you think thats enough, with out the 2nd side dish??) Also would that be enough?? Or would adding veggie trays, cookies and brownies...to what we already have...be to much??? we rather have some left overs and know we have enough for every one, then for it to be all gone and not know if every one got there fill...If that makes scents??? |

| I think you should go with more. Even simple stuff like a veggie tray, a cheese/cracker/pepperoni tray, and maybe even a fruit tray. Just so people have a variety to choose from. A couple different desserts (cookies/brownies, etc) are good also, especially for people who don't like cake. When I have a get together/party I always try to have alot of apps/desserts, etc. |

| What about, tortilla chips with salsa and cheese, and some gaucamole! Since you like mexican food and that would go with chicken!

| I must be going to the wrong kind of showers. I have never seen a full course meal for a baby shower -- just finger food, veggie and fruit trays and desserts. Like a tea, not a full feed. So, I would make sure guests know you are planning a meal.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Spaghetti Salad is always a big hit here! You just cook enough spaghetti for however many-add diced Green Pepper, Pepperoni cut in little pieces, Black Olives, 1 McCormick Salad Seasoning Mix & 1 Italian Dressing. Fix it the day before & refrigerate overnight for better flavor. This is for the large box of Spaghetti - just double or triple it for more.....The kids & grown-ups here always ask for my Spaghetti Salad.
