| My credit card was stolen! I can't believe this happened to me. I'm so careful with my card. Jeepers! I got a call from my credit card company a few minutes ago asking me if I had purchased some things on-line today. When I said no, they said someone was using my card but all but the last purchase would not be charged to me. The last purchase was a big one and the store denied it and called the credit card company. I only get charged $1.00. Thank goodness for that. But now I had to call the credit card company and cancel my card. I won't get a new one for 9 days or more. I have most of my recurring monthly bills charged to my card so I make just one monthly payment plus I get the mileage perks. Now I have to call all those people> ARGH! This is so frustrating and so upsetting. Why do people do thses things? I just can't understand treating other people this way. I am so hurt and angry. I'm trying to think where I used my card that this could have happened. I know where I used it last. I hate to think that might be where it happened though. |

| Wow, that is scary. Some people need to get a life and get REAL JOBS instead of working to steal other people's money. |

| Since I have my card, I think it has to be someone from a store that wrote down my account number. They bought some shoes and clothes and stuff from a camera company! I would be so afraid to do something like that. Besides it being legally wrong, it's morally wrong! |

| That is scary. I like it when some places ask to see your ID when you charge. I wish more places did it

| Oh NO! Did they just use the cc #, or did they have your actual card? That is just scary and what a pain in the butt I'm sorry that happened to you!

| I have the card so they must have written the account down from when I made a purchase. It's pretty easy to figure out who it was 'cause I use that card at the same places. I'm working with the CC company to help. |

No Longer a Member | This happened to us. I can't prove it, but I think it was the pizza delivery guy who did it. We had two mysterious online purchases made right next to each other. And they occurred within an hour after ordering a pizza. Never order a pizza with a credit card, and here's why: They have your name, address, phone number, and when they deliver your pizza, all they have to do is remember your 3 digit code on the back--when it looks like they are verifying your signature. |

| We own our own Corporation but seldom use our debit cards unless it's business travel, etc. We used it at a hotel in Kansas and after we returned home and I checked online to see if the debit had cleared, there were online orders for a couple of car stereo systems, speakers, etc. They were all ordered from out of country. We immediately contacted our bank who handled the whole thing ... it had to be stolen numbers at the hotel and it didn't cost us anything but we are now overly cautious about using debit/credit cards!! Hope you get all this resolved with no cost to you! I hate deadbeats who steal!!!

| This happened to me last summer. I still have no idea how my # was stolen, but several purchases were made online over the 4th of July weekend. My CC card company called me that Monday and immediately cancelled my card. I do lots of online purchasing, but I never give my # over the phone and I don't use it at restaurants or anyplace else where my card is given to someone. I haven't had any problems since switching my number and I wasn't responsible for any of the charges, but it was a pain anyway!!!

| Aww, that's just awful! I go crazy when I can't find my credit card. Once I thought I lost it and I looked the high heavens for it and when I couldn't find it, I called the CC company and canceled it......I found it the next day on the desk under a pile of bills. I have never had any unauthorized charges........hope I never do. Hope they catch who did it!!!

| This happened to me once. I was getting gas and I couldn't find my credit card, I looked everywhere and still couldn't find it so I got worried and called the company and asked what the last purchases were, and when they told me my heart stopped. I told them that someone had stolen my card. I found out that it was a girl at work. The nurses share a bathroom/locker room with the registration clerks and it was one of the clerks. I never had 100% proof but she quit without notice when I started talking about it at work and I got her signature from work and it matched the signature on the card and on the security tape at walmart she wore a cap and baggy clothes...and the items purchased on the card was household items including king size sheets and she had just moved into a new place and bought a new king size bed! AND one of the ems guys was room mates with her boyfriend and he got money stolen from his room when she was there, but there is no way to prove it was her...but everyone knows it was. Even though she got away with it with the law, she didn't get away with everyone knowing it was her because I told everyone that I knew and that she knew and so she will have to live knowing that everyone knows she is a thief...I bet those sheet and baskets wasn't worth it now... |
