Ok, I know that anything is possible, but.........

My MIL called the other night and said that my BIL and his new wife are expecting twins. Now, he has had a vasectomy and she has had her tubes tied. I am fully aware that either of those surgeries can be "faulty" but what are the odds of BOTH of them? This girl that he has married is a habitual liar and conartist like none other. I don't believe for one second that they are his babies. She has only lived in our city for a year and has made so many "great friends" that do "free" things for them, and we all know that nothing in life is free. And none of these people know her well enough to do any of the things that she has claimed they have for free.

Anyway, I guess what I am really asking is, do any of you know of another couple that this has happened to? Do you think it is possible?

hmmmmm.....I'd say leave it alone ...it's their business and HOPE they'll make great parents - She may have reversed the tubal ligation or never had one - but to tell you the truth - IF she is having twins - you'll know it lol - and if he had the big V - then he probably knows they aren't his and is ok with it or he had his operation reversed too maybe ? Either one can be reversed.

I watch I think sally or something like that... where a guy got fixed and a few yrs on, he got his girlfriend preg... but I personaly have not heard of it happening to BOTH male and female that or married or together???.. I know sometimes if the tubes are tied or cut they can become lose or grow back... anything is possible... But if I was a guy and I KNOW I got fixed and some girl told me she was preg by me (wife or not) I would want a DNA test... But that is just me...

I have heard of a man getting a woman pregnant after a vasectomy, but I've never heard of it happening when they are both "fixed".

Hard to say...I suppose anything is possible.

I have no intention on stirring the pot, I just wondered if you all buy it. I don't for one second. This story goes so much deeper than any of you care to hear, but the girl cannot be trusted at all. And he believes every word that comes out of her mouth. Best part of it all - between the two of them, they already have SEVEN, that's right, seven kids.

Haven't heard of both surgeries going awry but I have heard of one. A couple at our church wound up with the wife pregnant long after hubby's vasectomy. She insisted he go get a semen check to verify even though he said he believed she had never been with another. She said she wanted to make sure there was no questions ever ... sure enough he had swimmers again! I got to watch that baby in the nursery and he was just meant to be -- what a sweety!

I worked in a maternity hospital for 5 years and although there were plenty of people that this had happened to with a vasectomy OR tubes tied, never with both! BUT anything is possible!

Well, I have witnessed it happen once, to neighbors of mine about 15 years ago. They named the baby girl Destiny

Perfect name, I think

It'll be evident soon whether or not she's actually even pregnant. It's up to them whether they want to figure out if he's the father or not. Who knows, but you're probably better off jus keeping mum and ignoring them
