I received this email today....

John Walsh, who is on TV and whose son was abducted and killed, has started a
web site

www.familywatchdog.us

You put your address in and it will show you a map with your house indicated.
The people who have been arrested and convicted of sexual offenses will be
indicated by different colored squares, depending on their offense. You can
click on the squares and a picture of the offender, with other information will
come up.

We got that awhile back - that and one from our local police station - those are cool to have - kind of scary to see how close some are though!

A friend of ours has adopted 8 kids (all from abused homes) and has 4 that they are fostering right now - YES, that's a lot of kids, but their kids are grown and have their own families and I guess she felt that "pull" to help these kids --- anyway, they found out there was a guy living on their dead end dirt road, so they spent tons of money for a high fence and security gate around their property! She was just so worried because those kids have made great progress from what they had been through before............I guess you can never been too careful - might as well try to do all you can, while you can, I guess. So sad and scary!!!

There are SEVEN in my area!!!!

3 convicted of Poss of Obscene Material, 3 Sexual abuse, and 1 sexual relations with a minor

The 3 sexual abuse look like they all live right next to each other. The closest one is about 5 miles away from me.

Wow that's so wonderful of her and her husband! Very scary that they in particular had someone so close though.

I just found another one by clicking "non-mappable offenders" he's convicted of sexual molestation of a child. Greeeeeat.

Are most only seeing a few? My map had them all over it! And this is a relatively small town. I have looked at lists before but seeing it mapped that way is horrible, I think I will print it off and show my son why I am "over-protective" in his eyes. Thank you for posting!

No Mine had them all over it too. It scares me to death. I have a 6 yr old Daughter. I cant wait untill we move away from here

i worked at a texaco a few years back and they re-hired this guy that had worked there before andhe seemed odd to me!!! he seemed over-freindly if you know what i mean... i just blew it off he's young being flirty with everyone & anyone ..i don't know i still just thought something was OFF about him! i even told my sisinalw who worked there also at the time( i have 3+sisinlaws) anyways someone i knew came in and told me he's a child molester!! what he has a baby not even a year old yet! so when i got home i looked online under ala.gov somewhere and found him under sex offenders! he had gotten off due to youthful offender plea or some garbage he did some vey VILE things to young girls 9&7 i think they were and now he's working in a public place where kids come in & out all the time! how disgusting!i wanted to strangle him i have a little girl & i cannot imagine what that family or his victims are going through seeing him free like nothing happened. at the very least he could have been neutered.i printed out what i had found showed my inlaw and she told others the next day a officer came to the job to notify us of his offender status and they had already been notified by me. well i quit that was only part of why but i couldn't see being around much less working with or associating with someone like that i wanted to kill him!

Thanks for the link. I just checked my neighborhod out and found 4 offenders. All less than a mile from my house. I really don't want to live here now.
