| Lady had ACL surgery wed One of my dogs, Lady, had ACL surgery on wednesday and man she has had a pretty hard time with it. She slipped and fell in the front yard about a week ago and apparently ripped her ACL right in half. She's 13 or 14 so we were really worried about her coming through the surgery but she did well. Wed night she was in so much pain and I guess also in so much shock that she was attacking everybody. If you walked near her she would curl up, lay her head over her leg and bite you. I felt so bad for her. I took off work thursday to take care of her because she couldn't walk or anything so she had to be carried outside to potty every couple hours. It was tough because every time I had to carry her out she bit me but I guess that's 'tough love'. Yesterday night the bruising finally started to show on her leg (I didn't know this but apparently it usually take 2-3 days before bruising begins to show). It really freaked me out because where that morning her leg had been totally normal looking it was suddenly deep purple! She had to have her stiches replaced friday because she chewed them and then they put an E-Collar on.. let me tell you.. that has got to be the most traumatizing thing for her yet. The E-Collar they put on her was HUGE and white so she couldn't move at all or see out the sides. So I bought her a clear smaller one from Petco, which worked so much better. I'm taking her back to the vet tomorrow because her leg has gotten pretty swollen tonight so hopefully all is still well. I just wanted to ask for some prayers for her because she is such a good ole' dog and is really giving this her best. Luckily, the pain meds are helping her out a lot and we've also got her on some antibiotics to prevent infection. She's a pretty big dog (55-60 lbs) so I think the stress on her leg is much worse than it would be on a small dog like Harley.. So prayers for Lady please! 1. Pic right after surgery (wed night) 2. Pic Sat night (when bruising appeared) 3. Lady

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Poor baby!!! I had a YTorkie who had that surgery but he was only 7. They kept it bandaged so I didn't see the bruising. My in laws came from Florida and stayed with him for 2 weeks. The first week he just layed on a pillow after that he slowly improved. I hope she recovers soon.
