Then we go to my grandmas. Eat, play, talk and cath up on the durt lol and open gift... then we help clean up and OFF to my dads side of the family.. its mostly at my aunts... to eat, talk and make fun of each other while we open gifts. ALSO while watching foot ball DUH lol Then about 9 or so we are off back home scent my parets always have to work the next day, unless its on a weekend.. Here, When we get up, I start cooking xman "lunch" while I am cooking breakfest for us lol.. then we open are gift and eat. after that I make hot coco and we make a snow man and woman lol depending how much snow we have. |

| ![]() This thread makes me kind of sad ![]() ![]() My mom will be visiting for Christmas though and we have a silly tradition of making home-made lasagna for dinner. We've been doing it for years now and it's so much fun. And we always sneak out gifts from Santa for Simon & Hallie. |

| ![]() This Thanksgiving we will have dinner at my Mom's house around 1:00 and then just chill. Probably some shopping that Friday. And then Christmas decorating during the weekend - tree up, lights on the house and yard. For Christmas it has always been tradition to open the family gifts (from/to me & hubby and from the kids) on Christmas Eve during the day. The kids always got their clothes from mom & dad Christmas Eve as they always got new PJ's so they looked nice and coordinated for the morning. Christmas eve we go to mass around 4:00 and then we'll go to my mom's for family Christmas gift exchanging and dinner there. Christmas morning, the kids usually open stockings first - then their gifts. Then I make a big breakfast and after everyone gets showered and dressed we go to the show during the afternoon. This year, however, things will be different. My daughter will be working Christmas Eve during the day, but will make it to my mom's. I think she is spending that night here, so she'll get her stocking and gifts in the morning. My son moved to S. Carolina last week and won't be home. So, I'm trying to talk my hubby into going there for a couple days, but I don't think it will happen. He has always hated opening gifts on Christmas Eve, so maybe we'll start fresh and do everything on Christmas!!
