| Pizzle sticks are steer penises. Bully sticks are bull's penises. The bully sticks are much thicker. I feel safer with the bully sticks because of their thickness, also when you figure it takes several pizzle sticks to make one good quality bully stick, the savings isn't what it seems. I just looked at the definition for steer and it's a castrated bull????? So now I am confused, but they are a lot thinner. |

I'm not so sure about that. Today I bought Gracie some more bully sticks. The package said 100% American BULL Pizzle. There were three in the package and one was much larger than the other two. They look disgusting!

My furkids Donating Member | Just want everyone to know....... I bought bully pretzels for the girls....they are a bully stick in the shape of a pretzel...Sadie wanted a night time snack and brought it in bed with her (she sleeps with us) I could hear her chewing and she sounded a little funny, so I got up and put on the light and she was chocking!! I ran over to her and THANK GOD!! she got two very good size peices up..one was about the size of a quater and the other about the size of a half dollar!!! I was in SHOCK to say the least! I didn't think they could get big peices off like that! needless to say the only way she gets to chew on them now is if she is in my lap and I am holding it.....I thank God she god it up herself, the closest ER vet is over an hour away and never would have made it in time...I would have lost my little Sadie....OMG! just the thought of it makes me sad... Have any of you ever had one of your furbabies break a big peice off like that before?

| I bought bully's from an ebay seller 100 4" thick bully's for $29.97 with free shipping. The furkids really love them -- in fact I had a few of the high priced Red Barn Bully's left and they won't touch them. The kids loved the bully's so much I started sharing them with all of their furfriends and decided to buy more while I could still get them at that price .... so I bought 200 4" thick bully's for %59.97 with FREE SHIPPING. The seller was FANTASTIC -- we got the shipment in less than a week! The seller's Ebay ID is Eddieb260 and here is the link if anyone is interested: http://cgi.ebay.com/BULLY-BULL-STICK...QQcmdZViewItem |

I am so very sorry that Sadie got choked.... How terribly frightening. Thank goodness that she is ok. I know you must have been scared half to death! Your post serves as a reminder to all of us that NO chew is 100% safe, we must always be viligent when they are chewing ..... | |

That is so weird. I have never had that happen. Even my bigger dogs who could chew chunks off never have. I wonder if it was the brand that was able for her to chew a chunk off?

Everyone I know thinks they are totally gross, but if they like them, they are good for them, and they don't cost an arm and a leg... who am I to deny them?

| My kids love them as well. That was the best deal I ever got, and I had them the next day. I hope they start selling the 100 4" again. I agree Debra, the 1-5" are a bit small, I normally throw them away when they get down to an inch.....

| Maybe two of you guys could go in for the 200 4" sticks and split them. The only shipping would be for the 100 to go to a new home... or better yet-what if we contacted eddieb260 and asked him to PLEASE offer the 100 packs again. I would almost guarantee that he packs them himself, he probably buys them by the 1,000's. Maybe he would accomodate all of us Yorkie lovers! |
