| Congrats on your new grandbaby. With my first Lauryn who is now 12. I carried her high. I LOST 55lbs with her. I was sick all the time... Had to be feed with iv's every 2-3 days to be hydrated. I went from the bed to the bathroom, to the couch, then back to bed each day. Puking 100's of times inbetween. I could not even keep down water... Finally in my 8th month started to feel a little better. I didnt even go outside except to the doctor. I'm was soooo sick. Well it took us 10 years to do it again. Hubby didnt want me to go thru that again. But I didnt care, I was ready. My second baby Lexi, now 2. I started out the same way... but they gave me a meds that they give kemo patients to keep from getting sick. This pill with my hubbys good ins. cost us 32 dollars a day. They wanted me to take two pills but I made due with only one. I still worked and puked everyday, but it was way better than with Lauryn. Only gained 13lbs with her cause I was sick alot. Finally in the 6month started feeling better. Needless to say..... I got fixed....LOL I couldnt go thru this again. My girls are worth all of it and I wouldnt change it for the world if it meant I wouldnt have had them. Good Luck on everything. I'm sure you will make a good grandma. My kids call my mom Nana. She likes it better than grandma. She said it makes her feel younger LOL Last edited by DENISE517; 08-22-2006 at 07:15 PM. |

| Congrats on your grandbaby! I just had my own baby a month ago Since I had IUGR and my belly was very very very small throughout most of my pregnancy.. im not much help. I found out when I was 21 weeks though! and also it was SO hard for us to tell the sex because she was covering her privates (she was cupping them like how boys do when they get kick in the you know what! lol).. and she had her legs crossed! so i had to go to another place to get another ultrasound and they were able to tell.. its very exhilarating to find out the sex im excited for you! whatever the baby maybe, may he or she be safe and healthy |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was so sick with my dtr during the first 3 months I didn't think I would make it through the pregnancy. I carried right out in front and gained 30 lbs, but I was 5lbs underweight to begin with. I once heard that if it's a girl you are more likely to have morning sickness.??? Can't wait to hear what she's having Nana!!

| Congratulations! This is very exciting. With my first pregnancy never sick. All I felt was just sleepy and tired the first 4 mths. After that I was fine. I carried this baby low and pointy, all tummy. Born one day early, it was a boy. The second same, just really tired. This time I was really round all over, girls...yes twins. Born right on the due date.

| First of all, Congrats to you Nana!!! So happy and excited for you With my first pregnancy, I carried all over, front, back, everywhere! Gained 26 pounds and had a boy. With the second pregnancy, I only carried in the front and gained 15 pounds (was ALL baby!!). Both of mine were boys, carried them each differently, and had no morning sickness with either one. Didn't know what we were having with the first one but did find out about the 2nd one before he was born. If your DD finds out what they are expecting, please let us know! We will be "impatiently" waiting with you...LOL!!! Suzi

| With my son I carried him VERY low and I didn't start showing until I was about 8 months along. I only got sick once or twice. I delivered him at 38 weeks and 1 day. He was a perfect 7.1lbs. I'm pregnant again and this one is soooooooo different! I started showing at about the 5th month and she's very high. Even my husband made the comment that this one is higher than the first time I was pregnant. Morning sickness has been HORRIBLE. I was sick everyday for the entire first trimester. The second one I was feeling better. But now it's slowly starting to come back and I'm feeling sick everyday. The doctor says that I'm having a girl. So far ALL of those old wives tales are coming true for me! |
