| To the animal lovers everywhere *** http://www.brightlion.com/inhope.aspx This is a great video. A caring AC worker made this video. Warning, some images may be disturbing, but this is good for educating people about what is really going on. |

| That was so super sad, I really hope people see it as an eye opener. I have been donating to them for years, and I always will.

| It's great that you contribute. I really think some laws should be set up reguarding breeding animals. Too many are dying and there is not enough help. Even if everyone rescued it still wouldn't be enough. There is a girl on craigslist who breeds her domestic house cats for profit, she sells the kittens for $50. There is nothing speical about these cats. When those kittens grow up I have to wonder how many will end up at a shelter. She doesn't even give the kittens vet treatment or shots. It's so sad, I think in her last add she had 13 kittens she was selling. It is sad that there is nothing illegal about what she does. |

| bravo You are to be commended for passing this on, knowledge is power and education the key! I posted the plight of dog and cat fur trade on my brave journal and folks didn't want to "see" as if they saw it was real, if they turned thier eyes away it could continue to just be words, I would of posted it here, but didn't want to stirr up controversy..as it is very graphic and extremely sad..but all too real.I once again commend you for your post!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I've seen that one and STILL cried watching it...OMG the quotes are outstanding ..so so sad. I WISH EVERY PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY HAD TO WATCH THAT BEFORE GETTING A PET ! Oh man - they said in the time it took to watch that movie- 40 animals are being put to sleep...I just KNOW that count is low. They aren't including the Puppy Mill Pets - The Pet Store Puppies that die ....AND THE CRUEL WAY the Fur Trade is getting fur for us IDIOT Humans to wear.... Why DO we as a country think our pets can mate and there isn't a consequence for all those poor babies born ? There is already FAR TOO MANY DOGS IN SHELTERS ! |

many of us make it a mission to keep these posts alive so that the new members will be made aware of this HUGE problem in our country. The fur trade is EVIL AND SICKENING ! We've posted those videos too - but many times people just cannot view them - I FORCE myself to watch so I can talk about it but get nightmares afterwards...Animals are SO Mistreated by men. I was so glad to see this and thank you to cheryl000 for posting it - and dezertblu - feel FREE to add your information - we can't have enough said about this. | |

| Thanks so much for posting that, It was so touching as I cry, that scene of the man under that table w/ the dog on it,,, wow, that was where it got me. Yes, people MUST see things like that I agree, that was tame,,, compared to most, that I still think people should view. IMO I have to watch it again, what was the quote about not wanting to see things like this..but... gonna watch it again- brb..

| Thanks Thanks for the compliments. I believe that ignoring things like this or pretending it doesn't exist wrong and won't stop it. This isn't something that doesn't hit close to home. We all know someone (or have done it ourselves) who has bred a pet irresponsibly. Irresponsibly breeding contributes to everything seen in the video. Every life you bring into this world is a big responsiblity and odds are that puppy or kitten will end up in bad hands when it grows up. We have to get the word out. I believe the law should step in and make it harder to breed by placing limits. At least make it so that they have to be at least 8 weeks old, (California already passed this law), have all of their shots and vet checked, and IMO be registered. The less animals made the less that will have to die like this in shelters. Many of those shelter workers are volunteers, they don't like to have to kill them, but what choice have we given them? We would never have enough cages or money to take care of them all. |
