| Ok before my head explodes. I went to the drs on thursday after having a cough for like 5 days and sinus congestion and pain for amlost 2 days. She didn't think i had a sinus infection, so she gave me a prescription strength decongestant. Well that was 4 days ago. I am still super congested, have a sinus headache for 3 days, and when I bend over I feel like my face is going to fall off!! So does this sound likea sinus infection to you? Oh and my ears are clogged..can't hear crap! Gonna call them and have them call in an antibiotic, since this other stuff isn't working (and neither is anything else over the counter!) I am so SICK AND TIRED of being SICK!!!!!!!

| Feel better soon! Im so sorry you feel so sick. Sounds like you have a head cold. If your cold has lasted more than a week and you still feel so bad I think you should call your doc again. Maybe you need antibiotics. I hope you start feeling better soon. |

| Sounds like a sinus infection to me and I've had plenty of experience! Hopefully the antibiotics will kick it. I was going to tell you about Mucinex and then I saw someone beat me to it. Whenever I had gone to the dr. for a sinus infection in the past, he would give me the antibiotics and then prescription decongestant. A couple years ago he told me that Mucinex was available over the counter and was excellent. He called it the "snot buster"! You need to take it like it says which if I remember right is 2 or 3 times a day for several days. It really is amazing stuff! For me, Aleve Sinus keeps my sinus headaches from building into something serious most of the time. I don't take it every day - just when I feel one coming on. For the past 3-4 years though I've ended up with a sinus infection at Christmas-time. I'm highly allergic to all those trees that are for sale everywhere (we have artificial). I know the pain you're going through. Good luck getting it cleared up and give the Mucinex a shot!! If you don't see it out on the shelves, ask the pharmacist because sometimes they have it back there - I've had to do that at CVS before. And everyone.... keep in mind that Mucinex is not only for when you have an actual snotty nose. It's for all that junk that's stuffed up in your head too. Just because your nose isn't stuffy doesn't mean you don't have it all stuffed up in your sinuses. And no, I'm not a Mucinex rep (although it sounds like it)!! I just like to share a good thing when I find it!
