| Tropical Storm Ernesto Just wanting to make sure those living in the US are keeping an eye on this new tropical storm. I live in an area that could be affected. Always make sure you have an emergency kit for your pet(s) on hand. Also, please remember to have tags on your pet. It is not too late to microchip if you haven't already done so!

| I just bought this months supply of food last week. So glad I did! Since the bad tornado outbreak here last year I have revamped my emergency kit for the furkids. I should probably buy them their own suitcase to hold it all! Seriously, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 I have tried to stress the importance of remembering to take care of your pet during times like this. So many animals got abandoned, etc...

| You poor people. I can't imagine what I must be like for you living in an area where your lives are at risk due to he climate. Theres a lot to be said for the good old British weather. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

| I'm definitely keeping an eye on the tropics! We haven't had a bad one here since Ivan in '04 don't want one now!!! This time we have the Boys to worry about and DH is more likely to want to "bug out" in case of evacuation. His job used to require him to stay close (works near the beach), but now he says nothing is worth staying for another one, lol. Good thing I ordered two big bags of freeze fried Stella and Chewy's and expect them today. Just in time it seems. |

| While it is a long way out, I start getting my pet friendly motel list out. We are not in a flood plane, so my area is the last to be evacuated....we all have our "fear limits" and my "fear limit is a high Cat 3- lo Cat. 4 storm....that is the motivating factor that will uproot me and make me move. I will have an idea of which motels I will use in 6 different directions, which I will narrow down significantly as the storm gets closer. Over the weekend, I will pull out the emergency ice chest that is packed with all the dogs stuff...and I will review my list, to be sure everything is still there and still good...I will also make sure the house is stocked and I will line up my gas cans to purchase gasoline for the generator...(after hurricane season, I am going to invest in a generator that is already permanently piggybacked into my house, so I am not fooling with gas cans and dragging this HUGE generator around to the power box.) I keep pretty well stocked all the time so I am not somehow caught off guard....The only thing I really NEED to do is go back to ATT and have them sow me how in the world to work this Motorola Atrix 4G phone I got, so I could stay on the internet with my business! |
