| Honestly...I'm not too sure. I saw the movie preview and found out it was a book. I'm always looking for new ones to read. So I downloaded it! Lol From the preview and what I know, it seems that it's based in 12 districts and one single country. Poverty and starvation is big. Each year the Capitol (huge power) holds the hunger games. Each district picks two names of children. One boy, one girl from a glass bowl. They are between 12-18yrs old. They fight each other in harsh environments. Theres only one winner. And that's the last one alive. The capitol started it after a huge war. It's their way of showing that they have all power and not to mess with laws and rules. The winner of the games is rewarded greatly with food (huge honor) and money. Ok.....so I read a little bit. So far so good. And I looove my iPad! I am on it constantly. Either doing homework, reading, facebook, or YT! Lol! When do you get yours?? DH just ordered a MacBook pro the other day. I'm kind of interested to test that out. We only own apple phones and iPad. The laptop will be very different! |

| Now that you mention it I remember seeing a preview for it in theaters, the title slipped my mind. I had no idea it was based on a book. At first I wasn't too sure how to perceive it but it sounds interesting the way you put it. If it's one of those dsytopia reads along the lines of Brave New World, 1984, and the likes, then I most likely will give it a try. Would you recommend watching the movie first then read the book or vice versa As for the iPad it's en route and will be FedEx on Friday. I had it engraved. Glad to hear you love yours, now you're getting me all excited. It is of course our first iPad after all We share a Mac desktop PC but I'm hardly ever on that and would love to have a Mac Book Pro down the line when my windows laptop gives out Mind telling me the specification on your new ware? Feel free to digress on how you like it lol. I'm always curious about Apple products. Who better to ask then YT Apple users |

As for the book vs the movie, I always love to read. So I always read the book first and then see the movie. I know it's a trilogy, but the movie I think is just the first book. Now on to the MacBook. We are actually receiving it tomorrow. Hopefully. It is in transit as I type! I will definitely let you know what I think! My dad who is a big Apple fan says that they are coming out with a new set of MacBooks very soon. Not sure if the rumor is true....but I hope this doesn't happen to me again! Lol! First it was the iPad 2. Finding out the new one was coming out. And now the MacBook? Good grief!! Lmbo!!! I bet you are so excited to get your iPad!!! You had the second one right? Or is this your first? Either way, after playing with the 2nd for a few days, I can totally see a difference! | |

| My son has read all the books. He loved them. He says they were really good to read. I would have to purchase the next book as soon as it came out. And he is not a reader!! Lol. He is also wanting to see the movie.

| The books are great! You should read them before you see the movie. I have a feeling the books will be better than the movie, but it will still be fun to see it. I'm a Mac user as well... I have a MacBook Pro and an Iphone. I'm jealous of you iPad users, but I don't really need one because I already have the portability of a laptop and phone. I love Apple products

| I love the hunger games trilogy! I read Hunger games in 1 day. The Catching Fire is ok, and Mockingjay is better. But overall, I loved the series and have bought my tix for the imax viewing. I can't wait!
