| I need help...I don't know what to do... So...I ordered Proactiv back in May...before I even recieved it I called to make some changes. I used paypal to pay because I thought it was safer. Well..when I called in Proactiv charged me for a new product each time I called for a total of 3 times! I went to paypal and put a hold because I only authorized 1. So paypal put a hold on everything and I later made sure they released for one amount because that is the only thing I ordered. Now...Proactiv says I still owe the money. I have already faxed and even sent my paypal reciept by certified mail. They said all I had to do was prove it, so I did and now they said it doesn't matter I have to pay it. They show in their computer that it was taken back, yet paypal shows it was released to them. What can I do? I already recieved a letter for collections! I have excellant credit especially for how young I am and I don't want to ruin it with a $50 charge. Should I just pay it and avoid this stress that has been going on for the last few months?

| Get PayPal involved, they have rules and when you use them they can protect you. If you choose to pay to make it go away, that's your choice, but it just encourages these companies to continue these unfair practices. Two times I cancelled phone contracts and they continued to bill me for 2 months. First time I paid. Second time I was reported to credit idiots as I was buying a house. The lender asked me about this and I told them I didn't owe it and if I did would I not pay 30 bucks and mess up my credit? And I pay everybody else? Are you not going to sell me a $300,000.00 because of a $30.00 unpaid phone bill that I don't owe? They approved the loan, phone bill is still unpaid...and I will never pay it. Also contact the BBB, Attorney Generals Office and etc... Report those jerks!

| I have been going back in forth with them. (Proactiv) They say that it shows a hold period. I contact paypal and they say it is paid. Paypal said if Proactiv talks to the paypal representitive that it will be settled. (Which they are suppose to do since there is a despute. ) I called Proactiv today and told them this. So they said I should hear something this week on it. I don't want to pay it again...but this is driving me nuts. I have never been through something like this. I don't even like their product, it is horrible. It worked for a little while then made my face worse. I am going to look into reporting them. I am so frustrated with them. They have the worst system ever...and I would never ever buy anything that is connected to them. I even mailed a copy of all the info to the collector just to make sure and I still got a notice!

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Stand your ground with them. I ordered once, used my debit card. They took it upon themselves to send each month (or maybe everyother month, cant remember) and charge me. I threw a fit, made them send me a postage label before I would send back. They can only charge what you autorize! |

As far as this... I was able to hold all the charges but I allowed the one I owed and they say it was never recieved, but paypal assures me it was sent and I have the payment from paypal that says it was. I was so upset today because the ''customer service account specialist" said that doesn't matter. You may have a reciept but it doesn't show up in our system! How is that the customers fault?

| And since you don't like their product, I would return it for a full refund! (isn't that stated in their sales pitch?) And then tell them you returned all 3? JK

| Update!!!! So, I wanted to make sure to update my situation. I went back and forth between Proactiv and Paypal... I contacted the BBB and the Attorney General for their state. I gave them a time limit and called back every few days. Early this week I called and Proactiv had a zero balance and a note on my account saying But then they gave me a hassel because I wanted a letter sent to my address or email stating this, after being on hold for over 20 min. I was told someone would call me because they have to verify the zero balance!?!? Well, I got a letter today that stated a zero balance!! ( and that my account was closed... Which I already did) So now I am going to send a copy of the letter to collections (just to be safe) and it should be done. Thank you everyone for your help.
