I understand the need but would like to make a suggestion. My vet started The Buddy Fund...here's a link to the story: Northgate Pet Clinic My idea is for everyone to go to their vet and suggest starting this type of fund. That way everyone, everywhere would have access to help when it was needed. Our t.v. station here has a public information channel and, either for free or a very small fee, you can advertise on that channel so people would know where and how to make donations. Your vet can also put up a flyer in their front office giving information on how to donate. Can you just imagine how quickly the funds would ad up if everyone would ad a dollar or two to their bill for donation to the fund? I've met the lady and her dog Buddy in the story and I'm sure she would be thrilled to know Buddy funds were being started all over the country.
