| HELP! Throat closing and trouble breathing. I know I'm allergic to dust and it makes me sneeze and have a really runny nose. I also know I'm allergic to cats and when I'm around them my throat closes up and I feel like I'm having an asthma attack. Last night I had what felt like an asthma attack. It took me hours to get better and now I feel as though my muscles ache from trying so hard to breathe. I just got home from work a while ago, feeling better but achy, and now I'm laying in bed, watching tv and browsing YT. I'm all cuddled up with Kaji and I'm starting to feel my throat slowly closing. I need some opinions. Do you think Kaji could have rolled in something that is triggering my allergic response? I know it's not my baby. I've been sleeping cuddled up like I am now since his second week home. If it was him I would have had a reaction by now, right? However, last night after I cuddle up to him I just couldn't breathe. Should I just bathe him as a precaution?????

| That sounds very serious. I would wash everything... And be careful. Youcould be sleeping when your body starts to react again. I would talk to your doctor about this.

| If you feel your throat is "closing up" you should take an antihistamine use a rescue inhaler if you have one and call 911. Severe allergic reactions are medical emergencies that require immediate interventions. After you take care of yourself, then bathe your baby! |
