| Phishing scam? I got this in my hotmail account, it asks for my pasword. I'm pretty sure this is a phishing scam of some sort. I'm also reporting this to MSN/Hotmail even tho it's from: Windows Lives Team (amythewoodartist@msn.com). It does have minor ms. Dear Account Owner This is email from Windows Live Hotmail® and we are sending to all account user for safety. Due to the anonymous registration of our account which is causing congestion to our service, so we are shutting down some account and your account was among those to be deleted,so the purpose of this email is for you to verify that you are the owner of this account and you are still using it by filling the information below after clicking on the reply button: User Name: Password: Date Of Birth: Country Or Territory: After following the instructions in the sheet, your account will not be interrupted and will continue as normal. Thanks for your attention to this request. We apologize for any inconveniences. Account owner that refuses to update his/her account after 2 weeks of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently. Sincerely, The Windows Live Hotmail Team

| Yes, it is def. a scam. It is amazing how convincing they can be!! I use to work at a bank and it was amazing the scams that people would pull. Some of them seemed so legit!!!

| I am the Head Teller at a bank and this is def a scam. Legitimate business or banks would never ask for your password.Passwords are supposed to be protected even the bank does not know passwords on customers accts. The customer is given a password that is computer generated and never seen by human eyes. def phishing scam

| Yes it is a scam! I have gotten them for a bank account like an institution that I didn't have. I was like sorry don't have that bank! my sister fell for that once and got her paypal account hacked!!

| sometimes i will reply to those emails with fake info, and names and passwords filled in with expletives. Hee hee.

| That is interesting.... I received the same type of e-mail a few months ago saying they represented Insight. After talking to Insight, I deleted. I can see how someone could fall for this scam.
