Last night I went to Borders and bought Julianne Mac Lean's new series... (there are three so far) I hope there will be more in the future... I love when the stories connected.

| I'm a crazy reader too. I don't focus on one certain type or style of book though. I'll read anything that looks interesting. Currently I'm reading Godless by Ann Coulter...lol. I'd reccomend Amazon.com if your local library doesn't have enough books for you. I've gotten books for like $1. I also hit the library book sales during the summer and get boxes of books. |

| I love to read!!! I have moved on from paper books to electronic books. I read them on my PDA. I didn't think I would like it at first, but my sister talked me into it. And I love it! I usually have 10 - 20 books on my PDA and I can carry all twenty in my little purse. I can also read at night and not have to use a light, which my husband really likes.. I buy all my books at Fictionwise eBooks: Free eBooks, eBooks for Palm, PocketPC, PC, & Mac. They have a great club and I usually get my books for less than $5. They have a huge selection and their 'micropay' system is great. Every other order I make is usually free! It rocks! Now I have a hard time reading the paper books. And my bookshelves and attic are no longer overflowing! And not having to pack a bunch of books in my suitcase when we travel is nice.

| I never understood the appeal of Harlequins. I did give it a shot once but it didn't last. I have read several Beatrice Small (don't own any so I guess I wasn't crazy about it), Catherine Coulter (something didn't sit well with me for this one... maybe it was the style of writing, character personalities and the sex LOL--I try to pretend I don't own this book of hers so I'm not sure if I'd be able to find it anymore even), even gave Danielle Steele a shot (a classmate was always reading that in class) but really didn't like. One of the early authors I enjoyed reading was Johanna Lindsey. Actually, a friend had started me on that one. Own a couple of her books, but I preferred ones by Marsha Canham, Christina Skye, and Jude Deveraux. With these three authors, I own most, if not all, of their Historical Romance titles. I pretty much stopped reading after Jude Deveraux went contemporary romance / fiction. This was maybe over 10 years ago? LOL. I think that's cheating and lazy. And I don't like how the women "get around" in contemporary. I also have a few Julie Garwoods, but can't call her a "favourite". I remember giving other authors a try as a teenager, but none of them impressed and so they never really stuck. Of course, I also enjoyed romance found in classics like Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" while I didn't so much enjoy most everyone else's favourite "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte. Non romance related, same goes with the Miss Marpole series of Agatha Christie's books. I really don't understand that. I don't like her. LOL. But I do LOVE Hercule Poirot. So I guess I have more peculiar tastes compared to others. |

| My roommate Courtney loves historical romance novels. I, on the other hand, love to read the Silhouette Desires. Just because they're quick reads that I can finish and they don't give me an excuse to prcrastinate doing something important. I'll send Courtney along to post about her favorite authors.
