| Taxes, taxes, everywhere.... Doe it seem that everytime you turn around another tax is being implemented or raised? I feel like Im being nickeled and dimed by my own country. NH state Cig tax is going up at midnight. $1.33 a pack. I know most people say GREAT but for those of us who do smoke it hurts. Just like everything else. Is there a country out there who does not pay taxes through the nose everytime they turn around?

| Oh hon, I don't know if anywhere there are no taxes. I do know (from seeing it on the news) of a country that has MORE (if not most?) taxes... Denmark. But it's the happiest country on earth, so they say... lol thats cuz their taxes (I think it's 50% of their income) provides almost everything for them "free of charge".. (well not free, paid for by taxes, but..... well you know what I mean.) So, see.. you should now smoke & be happy having that tidbit of knowledge. |

| I wonder sometimes where our tax dollars "really" go when we don't see our tax dollars at work. CA. even has LOTTO which is supposed to go to schools, roads and such but none of our schools have seen a dime, and our roads are about the worst in the nation. I know MN. sure is slammed with a zillion taxes. Their license plates say "the land of 10,000 lakes", but I've seen people with plate covers that say "the land of 10,000 taxes". I think most European countries have the right idea about how to use your tax dollars. Germany for instance has college paid for if kids want to go, and Spain gives old folks nice places to live at no cost to them and money each month to live on and all medical taken care of. (think I'll move)

| yeah me too! It bothers me that I make a decent salary, live a pretty modest lifestyle and have to struggle all the time to make ends meet! Getting harder to feed myself, go to school, put gas in my car, groom the dogs, aarrggg! BF wants to move in together. It WOULD make things financially a lot easier on both of us, but its not the right reason to do it. he has 2 boys, 12 & 14. They are charming kids and I like spending time with them, but honestly they are lazy and immature (the 12 year old throws literal tantrums all the time) and I just can't put up with it enough to live with him yet. I have no kids, live alone and am set in my ways pretty much. I do not want to pick up and clean up after 3 boys! But man... money wise I wish I could do it!
