Donating YT 11K Club Member | I got Japanese Hair Straightener!! My mom and i went today to get our hair straightened, i was hesitant to do it 'cause she heard of the place from a friend that did it, from her job. We ended up even getting lost and i was ready to go home lol But we finally found it, and it was packed! Apparently everyone and their mother goes there LOL Anyway this is the first time i did it and i really love it! It's soooo straight, and my mom that always has frizzy hair has super straight hair too and loves it, its so soft and shiny. Has anyone ever done it? I spoke to a few ppl there that have done it before and some said their's lasted even 8 months, you wash it and still is straight! My hair is naturally wavy and i get it blowdried but in the summer it is annoying to have to keep doing it, now i hope it is much easier! I wonder how long it will last, but it was a very long process i must say, we were there like all day! But ppl there said it's worth it so we'll see. Anyway..yea i was just wondering if anyone here has done it and how long did it last for you?

| How is it different from regular hair straightening? I remember when I was in high school and got this great idea to perm my own hair ......ya, well, it was HORRIBLE, lol! So I had to go have it straightened at a salon. Since having my 3 kids my hair has this horrible wave to it and refuses to lay straight unless I straighten it daily. I would love to have it done if it's not like the old way. It really took a toll on my hair. |

| hair My hair is string straight...but I met a Brazilian woman at church...she used some concoction from Brazil and it was made from FRUIT...her natural hair was like a spring coil,it was so curly. After the treatment, it was long and silky...amazing. I told her she should sell it on TV... |

| I can't wait to see pictures My hair is very fine. I'm afraid if I did something like this, it would lose all it's body. I do straighten my hair with a flat iron, but it still has some body. Is your hair thick? I'd love to not have to straighten my hair all the time.

| Its actually a Korean straightener thing. (The Japanese copy) My friend gets it done once or twice a year. Its way different than the old straightening. The old way damages hair. The way they do now, they put minerals into your hair. I'm thinking of getting it done, but it costs about 200.00 here. |

| I want to do this. I am going to check into it for sure! I have fought my curls all my life. I hate curly hair. It looks great on others but awful on me. I keep it super short because anytime it is humid, there it goes! I swear, I can feel it curling in the humidity. I guess that's the way of it, though. If I had straight hair, I would want curly and be looking to getting perms. As it is, I have every dryer, round iron, flat iron, and every concoction on the market. I would love to have this done. I will probably have to go to another city because I am sure this little podunk town doesn't have that here. It sounds too progressive for here. |

| Okay, I am apparently way behind on all of this stuff, but I don't recall ever hearing of it. My daughter straightens her hair every day...I had mine cut awhile back, so it curled up...I just scrunch and go. BUT, this would be something to definitely check out. How much did it cost?

| I found this...Brazilian Blowout - Brazilian Keratin Treatment: What is a Brazilian Keratin Treatment? I did a straightener 2 years ago on mine and it really didn't do much. I still needed to flat iron it. I will have to research these a little more. I hate having to flatiron everyday |

| oops never mind what I said earlier. I guess there is a Japanese straightener too. The kind my friends and others I know get is called "magic perm" which is a type a straightener perm but looks more natural than the Japanese one and the chemicals used is not as harsh. Oh and the Korean one supposedly lasts long than the Japanese one. |
