For those of you who journal, do you find it hard to write on the first page? Am I just weird? Lol

I finally filled my old journal and had to buy a new one. The very first sentence is always the HARDEST! I've had this new one for 3 days now and still haven't written a thing in it. I've been writing on scrap sheets of paper and sticking them in my old journal.

LOL - I thought I'd found someone as weird as me - I won't write on the first page of a new journal, I start on the 2nd

I hear what you mean about writing that first sentence though - it seems I want to start it off with something profound but usually all I manage is something about the first page being similar to a new phase/beginning of my life. Oh, I do like to find a really cool picture and paste it on that first (well, second) page.

Just write the very first thing that pops in your head. Even if makes no sense or is just a string of random words. Then you have it out of the way.

Pigs love popcorn on Venus. That's the first thing that popped in my mind. Hmmm, that's kind of strange actually. I wonder if that reveals a hidden psychological aspect of myself.
