| Sad news about foster pup I just got an email from the family I adopted my very first foster pup too. The puppy's name is Marley. I came across her the day before Christmas Eve 2005. She was skin and bones and she had sores on her face where her littermates, which were 3x her size were attacking her and not letting her eat. I knew I had to rescue her. So I brought her home from the shelter, got her healthy, trained her, got her UTD on shots, had her spayed. I figured she was cute so she'd be adopted quickly, but 5 months later she was still with me. Needless to say I was pretty attached! At that time the perfect family came along. They have two kids, lived on a huge farm so Marley would have plenty of room to run and play, but she would be an indoor dog and the mom was a stay at home mom. They just emailed me to tell me that she has hip dysplasia She is only 2.5 yrs old, it just isn't fair. They are trying supplements right now, they've looked into surgery, but they just can't afford it right now. Does anyone know of any tips or suggestions I can give them to keep her comfortable? If they don't get the surgery done what will happen? My heart is breaking for both them and Marley. I wish I had the money to pay for it.

| Bumping this up for you. I do hope they can keep her comfortable with meds for now. Prayer's coming for her. Poor baby. |

Donating YT Addict | I really think Chondritin supplements, meds like Rimadyl and keeping the dog at a nice weight can be very effective but 2.5 is pretty young. I wish there was more I could contribute.
