converting word documents to excell - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I have some documents on a cd that was created in word 95, can anyone tell me if there is a way I can convert them to excel?

I really hate to have to do them all over in excel, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Save your Word file as a text file. Then open excel. Click "open" then under where it says file types, select "text file", then browse to the file you want to open. That is the only way I know of. It will ask you if you want the lines separated by commas or some other method. Your formatting will not be perfect, but it will get you there.
