Yesterday, we installed crown moulding (PICS)

We are putting it throughout the house but so far it is just in part of the kitchen. We still need to paint it..but it is looking good so far nothing fancy but it is MUCH better than it looked plain

It looks great girl! Love the colors in that room and the crown moulding looks great...as well as the wainscoting I love wainscoting - that and crown mouling really do "MAKE" a room

I am also doing add ons doesnt it add that nice little kick.. a little something goes a loooooong way... it looks awesome... you have great taste..... Im sooooo happy you are getting your honey do's done... what size did you go with for the moulding if you dont mind me asking... I wanted to add wainscoting to the dining and one wall in the living area but Im scared how it will look... im such a chicken to drastic change.. remember my paint color threads! was it expensive?

I think crown molding is a little pricey, isn't it? I think I've heard that before which is why we don't have it but one of these days, it's on the top of my "want list". I really love the wainscoting too. Those two things really class up a room. Your's looks great!

I think that the material for the crown moulding we paid about $150 for material but that does our kitchen and living room. and we borrowed the saw from a friend of ours. for the wainscoting we paid about $80 for all of the material and paint.

not too bad...since we are doing the work ourselves. we would pay hundreds for someone else to do it so i can't complain

Really?? That's not that bad. Why have I heard it's so expensive? We would definitely do it ourselves but you do have to be a little knowledgeable about that kind of stuff because the angles can be tricky. I really thought the crown moulding would be more expensive. See, learn new stuff every day. Maybe that "want list" won't be that much further in the future!

for the wainscoting did they remove the floor board or put it on top of it...
