| Anyone drive a Chrysler 300? Well, it's about final...... I can't afford the gas for my Tahoe anymore! I commute a round trip of 100 miles a day for work - 5 days a week. On top of that my best friend lives about 100 miles away and I "must" go visit her every couple months. I've driven a Tahoe for about 10 years now (3 different ones) and absolutely love it. I've resisted "downsizing" to a car because I just love the feel of an SUV way too much. It's come down to desperate times though. The only car that really speaks to me when I see them on the road is the Chrysler 300. I've talked to a few people that have them or have driven them and they all speak very highly of them. I compared the specs and if I remember right, the wheel base on the 300 is actually a little wider than the Tahoe's. That could be why everyone says it hugs the road so well. My biggest problem is not being high up like in a Tahoe but I may can get past that if I fall in love with it. I'm going to go drive one this weekend to see if I even like it. The amount I would be saving (car payment plus cost of gas) would probably be around $300 a month. I know most people would look at that factor first but maybe the Tahoe has spoiled me a little?? Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the 300. If you want to see one, here ya go...... http://www.chrysler.com/en/2008/300/...300/index.html Mine would be black with dark windows.

| I don't own one either but the 300 definitely caught my eye. I like it in black the most and then bright white. I also like the Cadillac CTS but only in black.

| I will be in the same situation as you come October and have my choice down to two. The cadillac CTS all wheel drive or the 300, it is a big change for me having always had a sport utility to help me feel secure. When we hit a moose we may not be here today if it wasnt for having something high to protect us. With gas prices and the environment I can no longer justify owning one. We also have to contend with winter driving so I want all wheel drive if nothing else. I have driven the CTS my gf owns one and I loved loved it but my husband really wants me to try out the 300 as well so should say OUR choice is down to two lol. Good Luck with your choice.

| I sold my gas guzzling WRX for a sport MR-S it gets 350 miles to a tank. A tank lasts me about 2 months since I only drive it to the Park and Ride |

| Wow, that's amazing! I can only dream about using one tank of gas for 2 months!! I wouldn't commute as far as I do if I could make the same salary in my small town. It's the price I pay, I guess.

| I've had a lot of people tell me how roomy it is and I can't wait to see for myself. That makes me feel better about going from my roomy Tahoe to a car. Thanks for sharing!

| They are pretty close price wise when you are looking for awd. I am not a cadillac fan but do love the smaller cts and it is a dream to drive. I will keep you posted as I hope you do when you make your decision. Try paying almost 5 a gallon ouch. It is going to be a huge change having literally learned to drive in an suv and had one ever since especially with our winter roads. My biggest concern is that a car isnt going to have the height to get me through the snow .

I think the snow issue would be a big concern too. I know there are people that drive cars in the snow but I would definitely feel more comfy doing it in an SUV. What I'm going to miss is being able to drive across our pasture to get to my husband's uncle's house. They live next to us about 20 acres away and it's cool to be able to do that instead of going all the way down to the road and over to their driveway. And $5/gal??? Ouch! The way it's looking, our oldest daughter won't be able to afford the gas to drive when she gets her license in a couple years.

| LOL!! I hear ya! And so much for being able to park in that pasture at a big event where other cars can't get to. So easy to jump the curb and get to the parking.
