| Ada, I didn't have a clue what this was - so I looked it up. Sounds interesting and fun, but well you know how bad I am with computers, I would be even worse with a GPS!!! My hubby and son have one in their cars, I just follow my nose don't ever travel very far by myself so that ok. Do a lot of people play over there? As I said I've never heard of it here. Hugs, Sheilagh

| Its fun!!!! Ive done it once with my friend, he has a GPS! I want a GPS so I can do it myself! Take the boys in the summer (dogs) and go walk in the woods finding those things!

| I have a group of friends who really enjoy this....some are in it for the "sport" of it...others as a family thing....we haven't gotten into it though...but I have lots of information on it if needed.

| Our oldest does this a lot. (even in other towns/states~~~on vacation) I went with him two different times. It was fun. He is now living in a differnet state from us , so I haven't gone in a couple of years. A girl I work with goes all the time. Her, her husband and two dogs take Geocashing vacations. It is BIG.

| I love it.......we have a family team. It gets you out and you look for the clues. We used the GPS on our sailboat for years so it's easy for me, even with the brain thing going on. You just set the waypoint and head for it. I have a new Garmin with a wrist strap and take it on bike rides on the local trails.

| I met a girl my freshman year in college that did that. She was really into it. It sounds like it would be fun

| Yes, I go geocaching. It is lots of fun and I enjoy being outside. I also do letterboxing. It is like geocaching, but you stamp a book instead of taking something.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | yaaaaaaay!....Hello fellow 'cachers! We just love it, too! The sport is growing so fast, now, though - soon, there won't be any space to place a cache! Hubby and I don't get to go nearly as much as we'd like; but, do enjoy it when we can. Thinking of letterboxing, too. Guess I'd need to get a stamp made.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Hey fellow geochachers, Anyone have an interesting salad recipe? Or an easy, quick dish for probably 20+ people? One of the cachers here, is hosting a lunch to celebrate his 1000th find, and we're asked to bring desert or salad. Well, I think everyone else is bringing desert! LOL Oh...potato salads are out, as my best geocaching bud is taking that. TIA

Sounds like fun....there is always the mixed lettuce greens and baby spinach, throw in whatever vegies you like (carrots, celery, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, etc)....take different toppings (bacon bits, croutons, etc) and different dressings. You can pretty much make whatever. I like this salad: Tangy Broccoli Salad (this recipe serves 12, so it would need to be doubled or so) 3/4 cup Miracle Whip Light Dressing 2 TB sugar 2 TB vinegar 1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets (6 cups) 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, drained and crumbled 1 small red onion, chopped Mix dressing, sugar and vinegar in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients, mix lightly. Cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

| There's also always the layered "dip"....refried beans, salsa, lettuce, olives, whatever else you want...and serve w/ chips. OR a taco salad...which I think was made from taco flavored Dorito chips, catalina dressing, kidney beans (drained) and lettuce, tomato, etc.

| HeHe, Jenn, I was going to send the same recipe - except I use cauliflower instead of broccoli and add shredded lettuce . It really is yummy. I like the sound of the layered dip. Would you mind if I borrowed it?? I also like to make this: Equal quantities of- Shredded lettuce Sliced cucumber Chopped spring onions Chopped avocado pear Then add in smaller quantity- Chopped blue cheese Sliced peaches (tinned) A little of the juice from peaches A few nuts. Mix all together, the avo , blue cheese and peach juice kind of make it's own dressing. so no need for extra. You can make as much or little as you wish. If you pop the avo pip in till you serve, the avo will not go brown. Bonus, its not fattening Sheilagh
