| Help on Info on Chemical Imbalance in Humans I know this is a weird question and kind of personal but does anyone have or has been diagnosed with a chemical imbalance? just wondering! When i was in my moms stomach my mom, dad, uncle, and sister had a car accident. It was pretty bad and the doctors said when i was born i had a chemical imbalance. I really dont know what this is and have just now been doing research on it. I havent been treated for it and havent had a physical since to determine wether i still have it. any info or symptoms you have would be great! thanks you can pm me if its personal

| Whenever my little brother used to go to a therapist and was prescribed medicine for his ADHD they always said it was caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain or something.

| Ha! I get told I'm "imbalanced" all the time Kinda scary one time my Doctor asked me if I wanted meds, dispensing them like it was nothing. I turned him down.

| NOT all chemical imbalances are created equal and not all lead to depression..! Your body run on many chemicals, hormones, neurotransmitters etc. Technically diabetes could be called a chemical imbalance as well as hypo or hyper thyroid! Because there is no way to determine if you had depression at birth..i am leaning to some other type of imbalance. Maybe your electrolytes or something was just off...or maybe something as simple as liver enzymes. I am not sure how old you are but I would think any hospital records could be obtained from where you were treated. The records are probably just stored somewhere. If you still had the imbalance it would have surfaced long before now. If in doubt i would have a physical by your medical practitioner |

| A chemical imbalance could be just about anything. if you take too much of one particular vitamin in can cause and imbalance..ff We are, after all, nothing but chemicals Some chemical imbalances cause mental issues, others cause physical issues.. If nothing has surfaced since your birth then I'm guessing it corrected itself. |

| If you're not having any symptoms, I really wouldn't worry. If you are concerned, talk to your Dr. about your symptoms and he can advise you on possible tests or even getting his hands on your birth records for you to figure out the original issue. It sounds like something that corrected itself though- some chemical imbalances will do that.
