Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Thanks to the internet I was able to do some researching on the different models, with that and phoning helped my decision on what I got. Can't really complain about the price, close out on the 07 models. Just hope it lasts for awhile The Kitchen Aide doesn't have the belt, the repair was most likely going to be quite a bit plus the Service call alone was $85.00 I didn't mention earlier all that went wrong with the first washer, but then when the water flow shut off failed on the machine, (unknowingly) I went to take the clothes out and slipped on water, fell and fractured my wrist. Thankfully my wrist healed with no problem. That was how the manufacturer decided to do an exchange for the second machine. I had preferred a different model and make but they would only exchange for the same like model Soooooooooo in closing I hope I can say, "more trouble free laundry days ahead," hopefully for quite awhile. I agree with the person on the extended warranties, we never have in the past but from now on I am going to get them, cause out of warranty one service call charge to us will pay for the extended warranty |

| Patti, I hope the new machine has a very long healthy life! It's a shame how much time we spend having to research, fix, hassle with these items that are suppose to make our lives easier

Thanks Yorkiesmiles, ME TOO I tell you what, it is as noisy as all get out, lets me know it's doing it's thing and I absolutely love it cause it is WORKING Jack likes quiet appliances, the Kitchen Aide (his chose at that time) was definately toooooo quiet, was mostly out of function Besides it being replaced for the second time, it just had toooo many bad memories for me, I wouldn't waste time nor money getting it fixed. Jack commented about how noisy this one is, I told him yeppers it sounds great, love it, love it, love it. First time use out performed the other one from day one the other one was double the cost of this one too. It may be noisy but it don't dance either I think my choice was a good one, also upon loading and unloading the clothes there is enough room to not keep banging my arm on the agitator Patti and I think Jack will say me too | |

| Patti - I couldn't agree more Patti, I couldn't agree with you more. When we had our home built I bought top of the line appliances from Sears. The GE Profile Convection Double Oven and MayTag Refrigerator are both a piece of junk. The ice maker on the refrigerator never worked properly and after several attempts to repair the service man finally admitted that the problem was an engineering flaw and it would never work. Sears finally agreed to replace the refrigerator but we had to produce the original receipt, which we could not find. That was totally rediculious because they had the whole transaction on-line. The oven also had an engineering flaw -- the oven vented so that the heat went directly on the control panel causing it to overheat. We had intermittent problems with the oven until out house fire finally "took it out". The electrical outlets on our back porch was on the same circuit as my kitchen lights (go figure) and when the wires on the back porch burned it caused a surge in the panel and totally destroyed the oven. The parts to repair the oven were going to cost almost $900 so in the end we replaced the oven. Funny thing when Ron and I first married I purchased a used MayTag Washer and Dryer (they were about 15 years old) and used them for another 11 years and moved them from Detroit to Alburquerque to Georgia before they finally died. |
