| What's a PT scan? I've had Cat-scans, MRI's..and the ones where they inject you with the dye. if it's anything like any of those maybe I can help you. I hope all goes well.

| They don't always use the dye. I've had one with the dye and one without. Without is easy because you just lay there and listen to the instructions. You hold your breath for a few seconds and it scans you. No big deal. However, honestly, the dye is horrible - for about 30 seconds. You feel like you are going to get sick but you won't. You'll get through it I promise. It is just a terrible feeling when they shoot it in but you just have to tell yourself that it will be over fast. You feel 100% back to normal in just a minute or two. Also, I'm good with pain but not with nausea. So, I really didn't take it well but I promise it really is over in *seconds* and you feel better right away. Oh, if they don't use dye they don't use an IV. IV's on the other hand are no big deal. Once they are in you don't really feel them. Trust me, I've had a lot of those!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had a Ct scan and An MRI and both were no problem, Over really quick, no IV was needed. They were both of my head. Don't worry it will be fine, I ma a big baby when it comes to medical procedures.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I also had a cat scan a few months ago for kidney issues and Ididn't have an IV for that either. I promise you thye are nothing, hardest part is not breathing for a few seconds when they tell you not to breathe.

| For certain CT scans they use an IV, but they should'nt have to if it's of your head. They didn't with mine. It was really simply. You have to lay down on a table, and they move the table into the machine. There will be a couple times where you have to hold your breath, and you can't move, but it's really easy and simple. I hope your results come back o.k. Sending prayers!

I have had both as well, and my experiences were the same. The dye/radiation one, I could feel it burn all the way thru my body, it seemed. The tech said that I would, but I didn't know what to expect. Also, I had just had my ears re-pierced and I had to take those out and my ponytail because of the metal....no one told me that before hand! Hope all is well!

| thank you all for the encouraging words and prayers and all the helpful information. I dont feel as nervous now. I also talked to the nurse to make sure i didnt have to have an IV and she said that I wouldnt need one so thats good. And I also found out from her that I can eat whenever I want not just a small amount for breakfast like how it said on the sheet. thats a relief i wont be so cranky than tomorrow probably.
