I didn't make the list -- just sharing it -- as I try to seek one out each year to catch my favorite shows.

Another good one that I have since noticed is not on this list is Timepiece.It's a prequel to a movie called The Christmas Box. (For some reason, haven't seen that one scheduled this year.)

Timepiece is on the Hallmark Channel at 11 p.m. ET Dec. 13 and again at 9 a.m. ET Christmas Eve. I think I actually like it better than the movie it precedes. I just think it's a better story. (Much in the way that I think Godfather II is superior to The Godfather.)

Another good seasonal tear-jerker is Anne Tyler's Saint Maybe. Hallmark is showing that at 11 p.m. ET Dec. 14.
