| If you are having pains like that call your OB. The doctor may have inserted it wrong, and could need to be removed! Call them ASAP!!!!!! As far as mine go... I love my IUD. It has been such a huge relief for me. No shots, no pills, no patch. Awesome! But I was also told that there would be no weight gain. Maybe that is my problem? lol

| I have an IUD also but its the paragard. I went with that one because I just did not want anything with hormones. I LOVE mine. when he inserted it, it was a little uncomfortable but def not painful. my first cycle was a bit different but everything has went back to normal. I seriously forget that its there. I really do think this the best choice I made. Its effective for 10 years so far its been 3 yrs and its working great *knocks on wood*

| It wont just fall out LOL they say that the women who have not had kids do have a chance of it expelling thats why they usually require you have atleast one child before. You also have to check it monthly at home.

| I have one. I am embarrassed to say that I don't know the name brand. I have had it for 5 years and have to go next month for removal and to get another one (thus think it may be the one you refer to). When I had it put it - it was agony. I wasn't told how much it would hurt and cause cramping. After the 1st day; however, no pain or problems. Since the time I had it put it, I have not had a period, ever! My Dr. told me that happens with some women but couldn't say if it would affect me that way. Well, let me tell you - it's been great. Just think of all the money I save every month not having to pay for feminine products! It has been a worry-free experience and I am very satisfied with the outcome. So good luck to you, but I agree if you are still hurting badly on day 2 I think you should call your Dr.!

| Thanks. I did think it was strange that there are now commercials about it all the time when I've had it for 5 years. Anyway, I will verify the brand next month when I get it switched out.

| I've got one and have had it now for almost 4 years. I did have some cramping the first day I got it put in but nothing terrible. I also do not have periods, that's my favorite part! I love it!

| thanks guys, if i dont feel better 2morrow i will call her. i went to work right after i had it inserted yesterday, that was a nightmare but i was able to do it. I think its just b/c i have not had a baby in 10 years and i was only 15 then so my body is acting as if i never had a child, I heard if you have never had one the pain/cramping is more severe. I hope my period goes away altogether that would be fantastic
