There is absolutely nothing for you to cry about. If you sincerely want to feel like you fit in better then I would think you would want to know what the problems were so you could be sure they didn't keep happening. Drawlins did you a big favor by going out on a limb and telling you the truth. It is how many feel.

For example, one day I was posting on a thread and I on accident read the thread the wrong way and one member seemed to get a little upset by what i had responded to the thread and said something that made me a little bit upset as well. And I also find a lot of times that people do not really respond to my threads that I have made. I did get frustrated one time and simply left the forum for a little while (out of the fact that i was frustrated and it was a busy time in my life). But I do believe that people shouldnt take things so personally, or people should try to understand what others are trying to say before jumping on them and saying something that might hurt another member. And also I noticed you mentioned something about how someone might have said that you were lying about having a dog. Really it shouldnt matter whether a person has a dog or not, just the intrest in a Yorkie can lead someone here and they should be accepted just like all of the other Yorkie owners and maybe one day they will get a yorkie and know how to take care of their new baby very well because of the forum.

SOrry its so long
xliloliverdiorx- You're right that it doesn't matter if someone has a yorkie or not. There have been many members who didn't and were welcomed with open arms. It's the lying about having one that makes it a problem. It would just be a weird thing to do. Sorry if you were feeling unwelcome at first. It takes a little bit to get to know everyone and for them to know you but we've all felt that way at sometime. I'm glad you came back!

Soccby, I was not trying to insinuate that you do not have a yorkie with this post.

You asked why people were unfriendly towards you and I simply gave you the answer. And I never accused you of being a former member. I only stated why some members thought that. There is no flaming going on here.

i do agree with you though, lying about having a yorkie is just kind of weird and somewhat dumb and immature. I am glad I came back too (or attempt to around my schooling) thank you

I have just observed this.
This forum is all about Yorkies, I dont think it has any thing to do with being popular or giving out personal info. This is the internet and Noone should give out their personal info on a public forum. Some members are well known more then others because they have been here longer. But I wouldnt say that makes them popular. I have seen a lot of members ask other newer members questions on their threads. wanting to know if they are for real or if they are trolls. there are some people that just like to come on and stur up trouble and so on. But noone has a right to be rude to any other member and admin will take care of it when he sees it. If you are having a problem with a memeber you can send admin a private message. I dont have no best friends on here, what I have is friends with Yorkies,There are ones I talk to more then others, but thats because I know them more, but if a new memebr pm's me I treat them just like I would want to be treated. dont let people get to you on here. treat others the way you would want to be treated. If you see a problem, turn it in, admin will take care of it, but they can not sit and baby sit all of these members, so some times things slip by.
If a member comes on saying mean things about their Yorkie or cussing , a lot of people dont like that and so it turns them away or it makes them mad and they start questioning that member. we are all here because we have Yorkies and love them and want to learn all we can about them and get to know other Yorkie owners.

drawlins27... I think your post was just fine, and found absolutely nothing to be offensive. JMO, but she just seems to have an issue with this site and many members on here already. I've fully read this post an everyones responses; all of them nice/objective; and still nothing but negative feedback... I for one know, you cant win em all... Also, not everyone has the same state of mind either...

Scooby (sp) I hope that you will be able to overcome your issues and move on... If your breathing, your blessed and thats what matters

I have been a member here for quite a long time, I rarely post, and I am not at all "popular" on the forum, but I personally have never had a problem with any of these so-called "popular" members, most of them have been kind, receptive to, and respectful of my posts without me divulging any personal information...Since I do read the board more than I post here are my observations...

(1) There have been some members on here during my tenure that caused quite big stir ups including threatening other members with lawsuits, scamming money, even scamming undeserved sympathy...These members typically were the type that had one sensational post after the other, always with some emergent horrible situation where their behavior and the behavior of others they described may have been factual, but taken in the aggregate with the daily posts well it tends to be a tell that perhaps there is some inacurrate representation happening...Then it is the natural instinct of other members to want to prevent the scamming, lying, using that has happened in the past...Once people get to know you maybe this will not be the case. While it is normal to not want to share personal information over the internet, being extremely secretive often sends up red flags, particularly in conjunction with a series of outrageous threads.

(2) People, including myself, often take things far to personally...Sometimes if your posts do not get a huge response it is often the first instinct to take it personally...However, maybe there was just a thread about that topic and you forgot to run a search, or maybe folks really do not know the answer to the question or have experience with the issue, etc...Starting threads that are by their very nature personal such as this one however, is probably not the best way to prevent drama and just enjoy some talk about yorkies.

(3) People who know they are very sensitive, prone to personalizing things to much, etc...Should try to think how their threads are likely to be taken by others and figure out the best and least outrageous way to state their questions or comments in order to prevent others from taking them incorrectly and spurring drama...

Just my thoughts, as one "unpopular" Yter to another.

Many of your posts were about how much trouble you were having with your new Yorkie and many times you would describe your behavior towards him in a way that sounded like abuse and many people were angered by that. Some of your posts have also been very strongly worded with cursing and such and members take that as being disrespectful and hostile.

And well, some of your posts have just seemed a bit outrageous and difficult to believe (for ex. living where it is illegal to neuter before 12 months). That led some people to ask where you were from in order to determine whether you were telling the truth or just trying to upset members.

Then there are the pictures you post where you color in the background. That also makes people suspicious because banned members have come back under new user names and been caught because the background of the picture was recognized. You certainly have the right to do that but it makes people wonder.

Add all of that up and it makes people wonder if you are legit. I'm not trying to be mean, I just want to let you know why some members are acting towards you the way that they are.
I agree with this 100%. Sometimes when you are feeling unwanted, which I believe is the case here, you have to step back and look at yourself in the mirror. To have a couple of people not appreciate your posts is one thing, but to have more than a few could be the way the poster is coming across.......

It says a lot that you even cared enough to start this thread. It's all water under the bridge so let's just all start over. You have an absolutely beautiful Pom and Yorkie and I look forward to reading more about them!
