he doesn't deserve to die. please, especially nj residents, call/email the governor so that the judge will override his decision

This is so sad. I have been reading up on this story in my local paper. I know a decision was made today, I haven't heard anything though..do you know?

11/13/08 - Congo’s death sentence still stands (see news to note below). Gov. Corzine has not announce anything yet but more likely after his PBS interview this Thursday. Here are some more action updates for Congo in case anyone missed it.

I signed the petition.

That's aweful. The dogs were beat by strangers that they don't know and their owner was being attacked in their eyes. Those men were actually abusing the dogs... they should be the ones being charged with a crime. I hope this poor dog gets returned to his family. He didn't do anything wrong

I signed the petition. It makes me so angry!!

What has the world come to where your own dog can't even protect you? I know if it were me, I would want my dog to come to my rescue and that is all Congo did.

Just an update...Congo was released to his family last night pending an appeal of the death sentance. The judge recieved hundred of emails and phone calls protesting his decision to put Congo down. For now, the case has moved and the new judge has released him. Good news!!!!

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
