Maggie May's new thing in the morning.

Hi everyone,

this is maggie's new routine in the morning. She jumps up on the bed in the guest room and can't get down so she runs back forth whining until I go and get her. lol. She's started to ruin the bedspread as it is tapestry so I pulled it up on the bed as you can see but that hasn't deterred her little butt! She's dones this this whole week now. I am going to put cans on the bed and hope that this will stop her! I don't want her getting up there when I'm home and hurting herself when/if she jumps down. Actually, she's much, much calmer in the video than she normally is. lol. Enjoy! btw, she/they are not allowed up on the beds.

You have such a beautiful little voice, and I know that it's hard for you not to want to be on such a pretty bed, but you have to stop worrying your momma. We want you to be safe, so you mind your momma and find something else just as darling to do, ok? Big smooches to you cutie!

Interesting...are you in the guest room for a reason and she is following you? ..or is she going in on her own? Stinker...

I would either shut the door...dah or give in and get her steps for the bed..much easier than worrying.

I don't know why she started doing this all of a sudden. The other day I couldn't figure out where she was but I heard her and Hot Rod was milling around my feet so I kinda figured it out and sure enough, she was going nuts on the bed and couldn't get down!

Well, I kinda use it that room as my studio and storage. I have a daybed by the window that they are allowed on. It's low so they can get up and down it easily and they do use that alot.

I think you're right about the stairs though or closing that room off-which I really don't want to do as it brings in light in that corner of the house. I just didn't want them on that bed because the spread can snag very easily and it has since she's been climbing up it.

I know my guest room is the same way so I put up a baby gate and it solved my problem. The light comes into the hallway and the gang doesn't get on the guest bed...

I like the metal pressure gates the best..somewhat like this

I find mine in the spare room too! Either looking out the window or sleeping on granddaughters Strawberry shortcake bedding that is folded up on the bed.

I did have a baby gate across the opening but decided to take it down the last time I tripped over it. I think I'm gonna try the cans. when Maggie first came home, at 11 weeks, she was jumping off the back of the sofa which is about 40" off the floor! another yt member suggested aluminum foil and it did the trick! they don't like the coins in the cans and you can see the cans from the floor so I think I'll give that a try first. She is my baby doll! my yorkie terror baby doll, lol.

HaHa..been there done that .... flat on my face...that is why I got the gate I did as you just lift the top and walk through...no stepping over..

I have not heard about the foil trick..does it bother them to walk on it or does the noise bother them...??

I think they don't like walking on it. The texture must fee weird. lol, my living looked like a space ship for a couple of weeks but it did the trick!
