| Introducing Booboo Hi guys, this is my first experience to have a puppy to be raised by myself and this is my first yorkie. I had couple dogs in the past but they were my dad's. I got him when he was 2 months old and he was the timid one in the litter. Arriving home nicely, calm during the ride, but cried all night on the first 3 days. After that, he was pretty cool about sleeping alone outside my bedroom. Still getting accidents with pee and poo on the floor and still figuring out the best suitable way of doing his potty training. Also, he is about 11 weeks now, how to train him to sit, stay, down (sleeping position) and other commands? Is it okay to give him a bath because he smells pretty bad now? I bought a regular dog shampoo and another flea control shampoo. I guess it will be save to do the regular shampoo for his age, right? Or should I just go with the flea control shampoo? Please feel free to share anything regarding yorkie pups and how to do this and that with him. Thanks All in all, here are his pics http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/v...o/IMG_2393.jpg http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/v...o/IMG_2398.jpg |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Welcome to YT! You have a cutie pie there! I got our KS when she was 13 weeks and we gave her a bath the night we brought her home. I used some PetHead dog shampoo I bought at Petsmart and some matching conditioner. She did fine. Make sure you use cotton in their ears to keep them good and dry. As for commands, I highly recommend taking a puppy kindergarten sort of class. We did this with Katie Scarlett as soon as she had finished her round of shots and was cleared to go out among other dogs. We took a class at a local dog training center, but many of the big box stores offer these now. Or you may can find a private instructor. The classes really helped us. We have since taken 2 more classes and loved them. Although we have slacked off, I need to get back on it because mine is at that age when she wants to misbehave! LOL Good luck with your little one!

| He is so cute!! I would use the regular shampoo on him. The potty training might take a while to sink in for him but be patient, it will be worth it. Once my yorkies "got it" they were really good about going outside. There are a lot of people here with a lot of good advise.

| Hi and Welcome to YT! Here are some links that may help: Puppy Care and Puppy Info Library - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community And OMGosh is he a cutie! Be extremely careful with office type rolling chairs... Yorkies like to lay under them and they can get badly hurt if you roll the chair back over them. When I sit in mine, I have a habit of turning the seat around so I can see clearly under it where mine are, before I even attempt to move the chair or even get up.

| Thanks guys, I found booboo is getting longer in body now. LoL... Yeah, i'm getting that habit of looking under my chair to make sure he is not under there and look for him before i move. I accidentally kicked him (not too hard) because he likes to be between my legs. He just got his first bath now. I think he does not like getting bath because he was struggling and shaking during the bath. But he is cleaned now.. Tried to get him used to be out of the crate and make sure he is doing potty on the right place. He was peed and pooped on the destinated spot but he walks out during the progress made it his pee and poo were outside the spot too. |
