| Halloween.... This is the first halloween we have had Bonnie, and I am worried about her having a nervouse breakdown tonight when all the trick-or-treaters start ringing the doorbell! She has a fit when the doorbell rings and runs toward the door barking! We will probably try to sit outside with her on the porch swing and give out candy, but I think she still might get fidgety. Have any others ever dealt with this on Halloween? If so how did you handle it? |

| Happy Halloween!!!! That's what we do, I set up outside, then when the trick or treaters come they don't have to walk up the stairs to our home and ring the bell. Princess sits and waits with us. She has a great time with all the hugs she gets!

| I was thinking the same thing. Last year Mac was to sick to worry about the door bell. Now him and Mellie go nuts when they hear people coming up the walk let alone the doorbell. I am going to take them trick or treating with me when I take my daughter and her friends. Later in the night we shouldn't have that many. Hopefully they will be tuckered out from their trick or treating.

| That sounds like a great idea you have about sitting outside. Schatzie would freak out too w/ a non stop ringing door. Luckily we live in the middle of no-where so no trick or treaters for us.

| Thanks! Well we survived, but Bonnie voted last night that next year we don't celebrate Halloween! Poor thing, she was jerking in her sleep last night I think she was dreaming of doorbells ringing! I tried sitting outside, but when they started walking up to the porch, she jumped out of my lap and ran to the door to go inside! Most of our trick-or-treaters came in bunches so there was some rest in between and I sat and held her which is all she wants anyway! |

| Winston and I sat outside too. I had to bribe him the whole time with Cheerios. He was just besided himself with the little ghosts and goblins. |
