| New Mackenzie.... Hi everyone...I haven't posted in a while, but I've still been reading .....I got a new pic of Mackenzie, I thought I'd post it for ya to see ...she is 7 months now...about 3 lbs 2oz.....so, from this pic, do you guys think she is going to be a cottony coat, or is she still too young to tell?

| She is very pretty. If you take your fingers and slide though her hair it is a silk coat. If you find matting it is a cotton coat. I have one of each and they are really easy to define by how you can comb through their hair.

That's great I didn't know that. Mollie is a silky coat. Wyatt the puppy of hers we are keeping he's only 6 1/2 weeks old so, I'm not sure if you would be able to tell with him yet.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I looked at her coat and her eyes - she looks JUST like Chanel when she was younger ... Chanels eyes glowed red in pictures too - So....based on that - I'd have to say cottony - BUT - with good products the matting can be controlled ...they're just more work and she has VERY pretty coloring ! She's a beauty Lots of people say if the eyes glow green = silky ...then RED = cottony but I've seen some yorkies glow Blue eyes too. I tend to believe in this because I have one of each - Cheri's eyes glowed green..and she does have a silky coat. Chanels red and she is cottony |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | It may still be too soon to tell. A cottony coat reminds me of a persian cat's coat. It's soft like that. But, anyway, I LOVER HER COLORS AND HER FACE! She is precious!

| My Lexi has a silky coat at least right now and her eyes glow a reddish, yellow, brown in most of her pics. My first yorkie had a silky coat also and her eyes just always looked black never the color of Lexi. However Lexi's coat is NOT as silky as Candy's was. I don't know maybe Lexi has a cottony coat and I just brush and comb her enough that she never knots, cuz knock on wood Lexi has never had a knot before.... By the way your girl is beautiful...
