| Tragic accident My sister who lives in Victoria, B.C. Canada called me Monday, December 21st to tell me that her Yorkie, "Kellie" who was 5 years old was hit by a car and killed instantly on the busy street where she lives. They were just getting out of the car and someone started up a motor cycle and the dog spooked and pulled out of my sisters hand and ran for the street. My sister said there was no warning and even though she tried to run after the dog and catch hold of the leash - it was too late and nothing could be done. I have been depressed since December hearing about this because this little wee Yorkie was the sweetest little dog and was so, so, so important to my sister who, like me lives alone. My sister was very, very sick last year and Kellie helped her to smile again and get better. How do you deal with a sudden, senseless accident that takes the life of an innocent dog who was loved so much????? LB |

| I am so very sorry for both you and your sisters loss. I hope that maybe she will be will able to open her heart to another baby when she is ready. Not to say that Kellie can be replaced but to help lessen the hurt. Hugs to you both.

| Thank you everyone! I just one to thank all of you for your kind words and thoughts. Kellie was such a beautiful and loving Yorkie and my sister and her had a wonderful relationship together. Pat, my sister is devastated and it is my hope that she will bring a Yorkie into her home and heart soon. After the accident, my sister has decided to move out of her condo and look for a town home with a little back yard and in a safer neighbourhood. She said she won't get another Yorkie until she does. Thanks again, everyone! LB and my sweet babies: Patti & Calleigh |

| I am so sorry. Such a tragic thing to have to go through and witness. Sometimes, as hard as it is to go through there is a reason for everything, and something good will come from such a tragedy. Your sister may find the reason very soon, or it may take a while. Just maybe, moving into a safer neighborhood is part of that reason. I too, hope she doesn't wait too long to fill this void. My heart aches for you and her right now. Hugs.

| I am so sorry to hear about Kelle's accident. No words are going to help heal your heart right now. Just keep her memory close to your heart in this time of grieving. HUGS!

| My yorkie Chiara was killed by a car in a similar accident in September. I have two yorkie puppies now. I think of Chiara every day. There was a lot of love to give and Chiara will never be forgotten.

| Thinking of your sister. I know it's hard but, hopefully time and another "baby" will help her heart to heal.
