YorkieTalk Newbie! | My Sweet Lilli Bird Our Dear Sweet Lilli was hit by a car who never stopped. How devistated we are. My husband & I can't sleep~ he dreams of her. I find myself looking for her in the house. Thinking we see her in the yard. Are we lossing our minds?? Wishful thinking? Just so use to her being here with us. We miss her~ as she was with us always. Shopping, yard work, childcare, feeding the cows & horses~ everything!! She was part of us. She still is. I feel for all of you out there who have lost a dear pet, as they are part of our family. Such an emptiness inside they leave us with. I will cherish our Dear Sweet Lilli forever. What a paw print she left on us all!! Last edited by tgunn541; 06-08-2009 at 10:17 AM. Reason: miss spelled words |

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I lost my baby Max to a heart attack, he was only 14 months old and it happened during surgery. This happened 6/1, the first three days were the worst. I couldn't eat nor sleep. My eyes were just red from crying. After the first three days, I started thinking of the fun things that we used to do. I even wrote "Letter to Max". That did help and leaving some of his toys around helps me. You have my deepest sympathy. One of the members said that Max was running around on all four legs on the rainbow bridge. That helped. So maybe Max has a new friend in Lilli to run around with?

| I am so sorry for your loss. We all go thru the different stages of mourning.... the first step is always denial.... our heart don't always understand as what reality may be. Our hearts long for the little ones to be or do what they normally do when they were physically here. My baby had been gone for more than year and I still sometimes think I saw him running around my apt.... my mind had accepted what happened but my heart seem to have a big challenge of letting go..... Its never an easy to deal with death of a love one... it seem even harder when they go so unexpectedly. We had no time to prepare for the shock.... and the many emotions that comes after. I hope it bring you some comfort to know you are not alone in feeling the way you feel. What bring me a smile is to know I feel this way is because I loved so deeply.... and I couldn't think of a better reason ! I now try to celebrate the feeling because I had a chance to love my baby and my baby had a chance (thou too short) to be in my life. May God bring you the much needed comfort... may He bring healing and from this we learned to cherish everything even more. Sandy |

| our loved ones It is so hard to read this since we lost our little 1 year old yorkie in March and the wound is still very fresh...my heart breaks for you and your husband over losing you little Lilli...I know she is with our little Theo running carefree and having so much fun...I can't help but feel bitter toward the driver of that car, how could they keep going like that...shame on them... May your pain ease everyday and our prayers are with you...

| Heart Breaks for You My husband and I are so sad for you. We had a similar situation about 13 years ago and we still think of our Cera. We try to think of all the happy memories and not that moment that it happened. The person that hit her did not stop either, and my husband saw it, he was with Cera. She saw a squirrel and took off across the street. Happened in a moment. We do know what you are going through, know the pain, and we are so sorry that anyone has to go through this. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, you will get better, but it will take time. Linda |
