| Everyone I need your opinions I wanted this little yorkie girl before I found Tilula, of coarse T is my permenant side kick now, but the lady who has this other yorkie every now & then says she would like to sell this little girl. I just love her & have wanted her for a year & a half. This little girl is only 3lbs but is 3yrs old so the price is a little high at $1000, I dont think she is papered. One of those "she is but I dont have the, but can get them things" Anyways I have felt like this yorkie should be mine but she always changes her mind, I dont know if its because of love for the dog or she is trying to get more money. Dilema- She wants to sell him now & has her listed for $2000, I think she will let me have her for $1000 but I just bought this little boy yorkie I think 3 will be to much for my family right now. Normally I would just say well I have already committed otherwise but I have wanted this girl so long plusss this is the tough part she is saying the vet gave the ok that at 3lbs the dog is fine to breed. What type of breeder will get her w/o papers at 3lbs to breed??? Maybe none, maybe a really horrible one & I just hate thinking about it. It is harder with females because they may be forced to have babies for years & left to die. I havent became to attached to the little boy we just got & would it be horrible of me to find him a great home so that I could afford price & time wise to save this little girl? I am really upset about it. I did tell her to think about how spoiled this little girl is & how she will be in a strange place thinking "Mommy what did I do to you to deserve this?" Of coarse at many of our homes she would continue to be spoiled, but who will be willing to give $2000 or $1000 for a 3yr old tiny & why? Most people wanting a pet wont be looking for that age. I need a outside view, Advise Please....... |

| Personally, I don't think that I could give up the yorkie I just committed to in order to get one that I had wanted in the past. It would totally break my heart. Also, I think this breeder seems out for the money mostly. I think 2,000 for a 3 year old is crazy, and I think even 1,000 is ridiculous for that age, jmo. I know it's hard when your heart is involved, but I wouldn't do it. I'd think of my new little yorkie and do what is best for him, which is to keep him with you. Just my .02. |

| I understand totally where you are coming from, but I don't think I would give up your little boy just yet. Since she knows you and knows how good you would be to her, is it possible that she would woerk out something with you? If not, I think I would find some way to come up with the money. Then down the road, if you feel 3 is too many, then see about re-homing one. Some how I think you will decide to keep all three. I don't notice any more work with 3 than with 3.. and now I have 6.. lol

| I thought the same thing. Of coarse hubby will not be happy. But maybe if I tell him I plan to rehome our boy he will let it go & then we will go from there, maybe he will be fine with all of them. I dont ask, then he cant say no.She wants $2000, she is working with me on the $1000. I tried to explain to her that it will be hard to find a good pet only home at the price & age & how horrible it would be if someone got her for breeding but.... I guess I will follow my heart, I hope it leads me to a pile of money. Quote:

| I don't know if I would do it. Her price seems really high. We got Tilly at 3 years old for much much less than that. Most people aren't going to pay her price for a dog that age. I wouldn't. You might not feel attached to the dog but the dog may be already attached to you. I also wouldn't want to see anything happen to the other dog (the female). I can see where you are coming from. It doesn't sound like the lady really knows what she wants. What if you sold your male and then she backs out? I think I would hold off.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | My opinion? If I was in your same shoes, I know what I'd do. I'd buy the girl and keep my boy Three is more to love Maybe its a sign that she's for sale again. Everything happens for a reason and maybe you were meant to have 3. Good luck to you!!!! |

| I would definately hold off on rehoming my boy until I had her & see how everything was. I have had the puppy alittle over one week, he was w/his 1st owner 11wks & never missed them at all. He loves Tilula & she him. I just dont want this tiny girl to fall in the wrong hands. The price for the her is to high, but if it saves her... Maybe I will just have to leave it to God. Quote:

| I've had my little girl for 1 week today, and I've been attached to her since the minute I laid eyes on her..I would think if it were me, I would keep the boy and also try and get the little girl(but for less money).. |

| Why is she thinking of selling her? Does she need the money that badly to sell her baby who's she spoiled and kept as a pet? Poor little thing, I can see why your heart is torn. We got a rescue who had once been a spoiled house pet and then breeders got hold of him, he had spent so much time in a cage that we had to bring food and water to him and it took a year for him to explore the house. He's great now, but I feel sorry for the years he spent in that cage after being loved on. |

I do sympathize with your position and I would do everything in my power to get her, though I could not abandon my responsibility to the one that I have committed to. Is it possible to pay her something every month or have a family member loan you some money? | |

| I think she is asking way too much money but... It sounds like this little girl is meant for you so I'd go for it. Three is a lot of work. I have 3 and would never get rid of any of them and I love them all but it's really more work than I wish I had. If you wanted to re-home your little boy, I really see nothing wrong with that. I know you'd find him a wonderful home and you could have the girl you've been wanting and the amount of dogs that your family is comfortable with. Good luck!

| There is something about this woman that sends up a red flag in my mind. There are times in our life we should use our heads and not our hearts. I'm not trying to make you mad or hurt your feelings, but you don't sound as if the little boy means very much to you. Have you bonded with him at all? Fur Boys are cool! $1000 is far to much to be asking for that female. You could use that money and spoil the little boy you have! I hope whatever makes you happy happens for you. Pepper |
