| I am so annoyed. Okay, so a couple people I know go to this one vet (well I don't think they go there anymore). Person 1 gets dog spayed and a dental for about $100. In Michigan that is impossible unless it is a spay/neuter clinic. Person 2 takes her cat there. He had been drooling. The vet didn't even take him out of the cage to weigh him and he was diagnosed with feline AIDS without a blood test (that's impossible). Person 3 takes her dog there. The dog has been coughing for years and the vet decides it's congestive heart failure without doing xrays. He puts the dog on lasix. Do you see a problem? Anyway, person 1's dog is doing fine but he must have cut corners for that cheap. Person 2's cat does not have AIDS (after another vet did a bloodtest). Person 3's dog does not have congestive heart failure (the owner found that out when she took the dog to Ellie's vet and they did xrays). I am really starting to wonder if the vet even has a license...

| That's terrible. Can you report a vet to the Better Business Bureau?

| You file a grievance against them and I think the state board looks at it and decides if the license will be suspended. These people aren't the type to do that though.

| Can they be sued for mis-diagnosis? I would at least want my money back for the initial appointments, as well as any follow up appointments and medicine, basically any money I spent towards the diagnosis that were incorrect.

| I just searched this vet out online and he specializes in cremation services. I guess he wants more customers for that part of his business...

| This so called "vet" should really be checked out by the American Veterinary Association. Otherwise who knows what else he is telling people. |

| Thank God I don't do to him. Never have, never will. Ellie's vet is awesome. I think these people that have gone to him may be done. I would like to file the complaint myself but I've never met him so I don't know if I could/should.

YT 1000 Club Member | Average spay/neuter in austin is around $40-70 and that is everywhere in austin... And there are tons of free mobile clinics where they do them for free (if you can catch them (they only open weekends for 3hours) |

| Love me Cody, unless we were to go to a mobile clinic (which I won't do) I would expect to pay atleast $250-$300 here.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I got your PM! I know the vet you speak of (not personally of course!! ) I went there ONCE for a non serious service that didn't require him to perform any procedures on my pet but holy crap! You should see his set up and office! Its a dive!!! He's in an old hick town and is a farm vet. I heard a story of how a breeder called concerned about a bitch in labor and he said don't mess with her, let nature take its course. Put her in a closet and shut the door!!!! I would NEVER go there!!!!!! |
